My Halloween tickets are booked this morning *yay* !
Would be great if they let the nephews do some meets aswell, instead of just having them on the parade.

Yes I was hoping fot that too! I never saw them!
Is Minnies "Costumes Couture" where Winnie Puuh used to be?
Any idea what will be on the 31st hard ticket event?
Oh yay!!! That makes me really excited for our trip now... Not long to go!!! :D
It doesn't say anything about Disney Dreams, is that on over the Halloween Festival ?
Yes it is, they confirmed not so long ago that Dreams was daily until, I think, September next year. They have also announced a special version of Dreams for Christmas!
Thanks. because originally i read that Dreams was not going to be performed nightly after the end of the 20th in September, so i wasn't sure. I was hoping they might announce a special version for Halloween, maybe they have and I've missed it.
Wasn't a special version last year eather, only special thing was that you got to see it twice in 1 evening if you had a Halloween ticket.
Last year's Halloween night was amazing, I just wish I didn't spend two hours of it in the queue to meet Jack and Sally!
I'm going on the 11th this year so at least I see the decorations!

It's ending September this year isn't it? I'm pretty sure it is.. Cos i was gutted i was gonna miss out on seeing it.
Nope it's been extended, will be a winter version from November 10th
Quote from: "Mitchell"Nope it's been extended, will be a winter version from November 10th
Ahh i knew that but technically it's a different show ;) And i'm still gonna miss out on seeing it because we're leaving on the 2nd Nov. FML.

Does anyone have any ideas about what to wear for the halloween party? I've read the rules and I can't think of anything good...

My main advice is to make sure it's something warm. Last year the costumes were as varied as traditional Halloween costumes like witches to ones like mine, which was fireside girls from Phineus and Ferb

The Fireside girl one sounds so awesome! I am slightly cautious of dressing up as a disney character in case kids mistake me as them. I'm probably just being a little paranoid, but it would kill me to have to tell them no.
I really like the sound of a haunted bride (to match my favourite attraction!) but I can't find one that's appropriate for disney and now that you mention it, is warm.

I did get some kids pointing shouting Isabella, I just waved and walked on, which seemed enough to keep the child happy. Someone went as Cruella De Ville in a Dalmatian print coat, now that was cleaver

Ah well, I'm sure being in the park at night will make up for it; it just sounds so exciting!
Its genuinely amazing, you know that feeling you get in the park when its dark that makes you feel like you shouldn't be there? And you feel like you're sneaking around? Well imagine that then a stilt walker comes past, or you turn and theres a big disco complete with bar and dancefloor

There was no Cavalcade last year at Halloween. This is brand new this year.
Looks brill, I love the ghosts & that Stitch pumpkin is too cute!
Going for the first time with halloween to DLP, on october the 26 en 27.
I have never seene the decorations, but on the foto's they are beautiful.
Just to let you all know I haven't forgotten, I've had some bad news so trying to deal with that before I go away to Disney next week before looking for the leaflet. I will get it up ASAP
The cavalcade is on YouTube, it's brilliant!

I like the Halloween Cavalcade the floats are beautiful, it looks and sounds more like a Harvest Festival Cavalcade to me though. I gather that the floats are made from the old Fantillusion parade. But it looks good and hopefully Disney can add another float to it next year. Looking forward to the Christmas Cavalcade now.
I think the Halloween elements are very European over American, it's nice to see it embraced.

Does anyone have or know where I can get the Halloween Cavalcade music please?
In which direction does the Cavalcade go? From Fantasyland to Main Street, the other way around, or do they alternate?

First and the 3th are from Fantasyland to Main Street so probably the second is from Main Street to Fantasyland!
Great, thanks!! :D
The Cavalcade I saw it was a lunchtime one was Main St to Fantasyland, so I guess they alternate between the two
I am just back and on both of my days it started from its a small world for the first and third performance and from Town Square for the middle performance.
I thought the parade was sensational, one of the best I have seen at Paris! Sure it only has two floats, but the range of dancers, Pumpkin men and women, scarecrows, Winnie the pooh characters a couple on segways and leaf dancers plus regal dancers and a couple of sunflowers at the back! God, even the two cast members carrying the rope at the back of the parade dance! |There is real energy in the dancing!
The quality of the floats is very high and the music is instantly catchy! I managed to watch the parade more than once in one performance by viewing on main Street and then walked around the back of main Street and through Fantasyland to watch them arriving at Its a Small World.
If you have'nt been this year then go! and if you can't book for next year!

Captain R how was the park capacity during your visit? I am hoping to visit one Hallowe'en as it's my fave 'season', but the sheer volume of people I imagine would be there puts me off.
I was at the park from Monday-Friday this past week and I have to agree about the Halloween Cavalcade! I found it absolutely brilliant, the music was really catchy and as said above, even the cast members who were holding the rope and guiding were dancing and seemed to be having a great time. Thoroughly enjoyed it this year having never been during the halloween season before, and wouldn't hesitate to go during october again.
To Ravenseye; I found that the amount of people around wasn't massive. There were times when it got busier than others, but across the whole week I didn't walk past any of the really popular rides like Big Thunder or Peter Pan and see a wait time of more than 25 minutes. Pirates and Phantom Manor and things like that were almost always five or ten minutes. It might get busier the closer it gets to the 31st (not least because schools are on half term later in the month) but the week I've just visited for wasn't too busy at all.
Agreed, I was there on Thursday and Friday and found the crowds minimal. I could walk up to the Halloween Parade a few minutes before it started and was on the front line. The rides that I did, considering that I watched all the Halloween shows and a couple of Disney Villains appearances were minimal, wish I was going again next week! Still, I only have to wait until November 16th for my next visit, it will be tough for Christmas to top this halloween visit though!
Well i'm glad that the old Fantillusion parade floats have been put to good use anyway.
It's crass to say that you would not recognise them, but the build quality is so good that I really hope it heralds a new level of quality for our park

Hey guys!
I'm really sorry but I can not find last years Halloween party map anywhere!
To those going have an amazing time!
Hi all, I've decided to go to the party as Melanie Ravenswood :) Do you think this would be ok/appropriate?
I'm not going to have the dress trailing or look too scary. I'm trying to keep within their rules but I don't want to do anything like upset kids/get kicked out.

Its so badly advertised in the UK, you wouldn't have known
If you pick this up today, you are only asked to leave the park if you go on rides or transfer from one land to another, my advice would be to got to Frontierland and enjoy the atmosphere and characters there and don't come out until Dreams! It may be fairly boring, but I have had good character interaction there in the past.
I'm actually jealous of everyone going tonight. Maybe next year
What a night :) Next year we are going again!

How is that fair on the people who have paid tickets for the event. It was WAY over crowded with people who didn't have wrist bands.
