Title: Trains to DLP
Post by: franackerpan on June 26, 2013, 11:46:14 PM
Hi
I'll be visiting Paris in July.its my first visit to DLP. I'm staying for 7 days an thought about getting an annual pass.

My question is about travelling to the parks. I'm staying at holiday inn Marne la Valle ( is it any good ?) what is the best train ticket to get. Do they do a weekly pass? is it worth getting any kind of pass?  How much is it return to DLP?  I will also be doing paris for couple of days. I also need to get to & from CDG.

Many thanks
Karen xx

Sorry I can't help with the trains to and from the Holiday Inn, but we took the TGV from CDG and the actual journey was only 10 minutes. We stood as it was a short time, which was tricky given our luggage and 4 year old. It was around 60 Euros each way for the 3 of us on the TGV.

Getting to Paris is very easy, the trains frequent and the people on the ticket desk speak excellent English and can explain where you need to go.

Sorry my answer is a bit light, hopefully someone else will do better.

Em x

Weekly travel passes are called Navigo Decouverte, and they're valid Monday to Sunday only, so say you buy it on a Friday it is only valid to Sunday and you would have to buy another on Monday. Don't buy a Paris Visite, they are just a big fat con for tourists.

If you are just going between Val d'Europe and Disneyland you may just find it better value getting single tickets for the RER. I think its about €1.70
