Title: Alcohol
Post by: pluggie on July 16, 2012, 07:36:39 PM
Is there anywhere in DLRP that is set aside just to have a few beers in? I know that the restaurants sell alcohol but i'm hoping that there are pubs or bars where I can relax with a beer with my partner (no kids!). Cheers!

There is the Sports bar and Billy Bobs in Disney Village. All the hotels have bars, the best in my opinion is at the hotel New York closely followed by Sequoia Lodge. There are no straight bars in either of the parks but alcohol is served with food in all the restaurants.

When we stay at the Disneyland hotel we pack a case of beer. Cool the cans with the ice from the hotel. Not sure if the search team will allow alcohol through when comming from a different hotel.

Buying beers from the hotel shops is cheaper than the bars.  They were about 4 euros from the shop and just over 6 euros in the bar last year.

We always enjoyed a cool beer at the Sports Bar in the Village. You can also buy a beer at the counter service cafes in the park without buying food.

I would certainly second that. They don't serve a bad cool beer here :)

If remember correctly Planet Hollywood has a bar upstairs as well. When we went without the kids we may have had a few too many cocktails, cause we woke up in the morning with several bags from the Disney Store.

Warning - alcohol, too much spending money and Disney merchandise are a bad mix. For that reason I'm surprised they don't fill the adults with free booze before entering the Emporium

Happy Hour is not on all drinks, it's only on house drinks. A large glass of wine just over 2 1/2 euros
