Which new characters are other parks getting?

I don't think DLRP will get any new ones until Ratatouille, they only really get new ones when a film is released.  They didn't get a Mater or Lightning McQueen because they'll be featured at the attraction in June anyway.

Although I am not a huge fan of the Disney characters, I do believe they play an important part in the Disney experience. I also think that the Walt Disney Studios can greatly benefit from some exclusive characters like at the Disney-MGM Studios;

-Snow Queen from Narnia (the photolocation is still there)
-Star Wars characters like they appeared years ago near Star Tours
-Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy
-Bear in the Big Blue House
-More characters from Monsters Inc. like in Block Party Bash (bring some variety to the Monsters Inc. photolocation)

And so on...

Erm power rangers no, I really hope those things never come to wds or dlp.  They were good in the 90's, but now not popular at all as for jojo I dunno who jojo really is.  Not a fan of playhouse disney.

I agree with bringing the White Witch back, but maybe not until the next film.

I'd definitely like to see more Monsters, and Frozone would be cool too.  When Toon Studio opens, it'd be amazing if Roger Rabbit popped in from time to time, since the whole theme idea began with him.

Jiminy Cricket does appear in the disneyland park from time to time, and the roger rabbit thing never did make sense, would be great if he made a comeback.

Jiminy Cricket has very few friends, so he only makes appearances on special occasions.

 What about Jessica Rabbit? A character for grown men to enjoy.

:P I'm still waiting on a Cheshire Cat character! They have just about every other major Alice in Wonderland, but not Cheshire!
Title:
Post by: DisneyBud on January 03, 2007, 07:35:05 PM
I agree, I'm sure Chshire would be easy enough to do, I'd say he could probably be around the same height as the Chipmunks, hmmm I wonder.  O and I don't have any problems with a Jessica Rabbit! Although finding someone to be her friend that has the right 'proportions' (if you know what I mean) might be difficult!!

there just needs to be some new ones

jessica rabbit would be good, but again.... licence....

does chicken little still appear
Title:
Post by: Anthony on January 03, 2007, 08:11:23 PM
With Roger Rabbit I suppose not only is the license still a problem, but no kids know who he is these days.  It's strange to think some children have never seen a lot of classic Disney films - for example, the Little Mermaid scene of Animagique gets a much bigger reaction these days now the DVD is out.

I think so, but not at his oakey oaks set.  I know Patrick (patmagic) saw Abbey Mallard over new year...

Yeah I saw Chicken Little appear at his oakey oaks set over the New Year, Abbey Mallard was out in the Frontlot, though.

:P And he could have a fat plushie tummy! He would be so huggable!

;) And I know what you mean about Jessica, but still, I'd love her and Roger to appear! :D There's plenty of Roger and Jessica Rabbit merchandise at DLRP, so I don't see what the problem would be.

Also, what about Nightmare Before Christmas characters? Or Tron! I watched Tron for the first time just recently and I loved it! :P They need to get in a cute guy to play Tron!

Do you think it has anything to do with the way those Potato Heads in WDS Store and Disney Store are selling?

I'm surprised they've never done a Bo-Peep character, it would be pretty easy and then they could split them into couples - Woody/Bo, Buzz/Jessie.  Whilst they're at it, why not Zurg or Stinky Pete aswell?  One of the little green men, or the green army men from Disney Cinema Parade?  Did Bullseye ever make it to Paris?

Not obvious I'm a toy story fan, is it?

There was a Bo Peep character years ago, just 1 costume was made I think and it was pretty basic so couldn't really be used for meet and greets, like the "non-face" Fairy Godmother in the Princess Parade - so she basically looked good from a distance.

She was only used in the Toy Story Parade and never appeared again, Bullseye never made it to Paris and there have been times the Army Men went out for sets in the early days of the WDS - but the planning was bad so they were out alone and it didn't work.

http://www.jtcent.com/main.php (http://www.jtcent.com/main.php)

this is site for it,,,, they have the best parades ever........, im telling you

tis funny to see disney princesses dance to techno type music tho..

they also have loads of different characters....., check out da parade and you will see. they have the chef from little mermaide there too which is kinda starange....... but WDW has a flounder character too which is just sooo koooooooooool  :D

Hmm Pete face character, the one thing I would think about now is that kids of this generation simply do not remember pete so much.  I mean I never even saw the movie and I was in the childhood of the re releasing of all these old classics.  I still wonder what kids who watch the electrical parade must think of when they see Pete's Dragon.  As for that parade, it has to be one of the most horrific parades ever created  .  High School music mixed with techno really is baaaaad.  But that's going off topic.

i know for a classic disney parade i agree with you 100% but for a party parade which is whats its supposed to be, i think its fantastic.... look at all the dancers giving it some wellie there..... and all the guets are having fun, clapping and  having a good time. I think it rocks!!!!! tbh.

Hello evereybody.
Does anyone see Peter Pan as an character like Hook or Buzz in DLRP.
I visited DLRP 3 times last year (Jan/Jun/Nov) but no Peter anywhere.
Or isnĀ“t there a character of Peter Pan?

Regards
Markus

When I went in September they had him out. It was during the time when the maintanence were on strikes so the parades had to be cancelled. Instead they had MASSIVE character meet and greets in the plaza, with the parade dancers and almost whole casts of a film posing for HUGE photos with people, eg: Aladdin, Jafar, Jasmine, Genie and the dancers. Mary Poppins, Burt, The Captain and the chimney sweeps etc.

Peter Pan was out with Captain Hook and Tinkerbell. It actually was amazing to see!

Pocahontas is already at the resort, They should have made an Meet 'n' Greet with Pocahontas characters by Pocahontas' Indian Villiage.
