Hi, is Buzz Lightyear's Pizza Planet likely to be open during august? My son has wanted to go here the last two times we've been to DLP and it has unfortunately been closed :( I know it's not the best restaurant by any means, but for a Toy Story mad 6 year old, it really is the place he wants to eat most! Any info would be great. Thanks!
I think it would be open though i'm not sure
every single time ive been it has always been closed! :( ive been in there once on our first trip to disney and ever since after its never been open!
Does anyone know if Buzz's is open now? We're visiting in August and my husband really wants to eat here.
Helen
hey is pizza planet still open, i thought i read some where that it is perminantly closed but im not sure, if it is still open will it have good opening times in december
thanks
It was always closed when we were last there. We later found out it was open 12-4 but it was still closed when we went to check it out.
it was open when we were there 14th to 18th july
Is it likely to be open in feb.
i've ben there (5-8 august)
it's a shame that its not regular open.
and it's apperently closed from 10 to 4pm ? :S
anyway, we went in because it was closed for so long and now we had the chance. I've never been there (maybe when i was a kid but that was a long time ago)
it's 18 euro for a buffet, all you can eat.
Dessert, pasta, pizza, drinks and more i think.
The restaurant itself is old and it needs an update.
When we we're there, it was almost empty, I think 6 families were there and that was it! 8)
if you want to eat there, I believe you have to check out the discovery information panel to see if it's open that day.

Yes its hardly ever open is it and its tucked away right at the back of Discoveryland so maybe most people don't even realise it's there!
Hi does Buzz Lighter Pizza Planet in Discoveryland still have arcade with video games or is it only the play area that still there.
If there is an arcade is it similar to the one in Walt Disney World FL(florida) or is it totally different.
When I went in March it was just the dining area and a Toy Story themed soft play area. It is excellent value for food especially when you compare it to the price of a pizza and drink at one of the counter food shops
Same here, when I went it was just the buffet area, a play area and a seating area - no arcade games. The play area is very cute but there is something lacking about it if you compare it to the film, plus they used to do amazing rectangular pizza there when I was small which I still get nostalgic about, but they don't do it anymore :( Not sure if it is similar to others in Disney parks though, sorry!
There is a games arcade next to the Buzz ride though.

is there? I know theres a shop next to the Buzz ride, and the Videopolis is on the other side of it. There is a games arcade at the other side of Videopolis, near the Star Tours queue line.
I'm sure there were some arcade type games next to the shop. I maybe wrong

no, it might be me thats wrong - I may not have noticed it at all :) .
I haven't been in, but I remember walking past and seeing those crane grabber thingys
Hi, does anyone know if they do gluten free pizza please?

i think you may need to contact Disney to find that out.

geekyjo thankyou so much, that was incredibly useful!!
pizza planet used to be ace with all the arcade games! I remeber going with nieces and nephews and buzz and woody came in for autographs! bout 10 years ago tho!

It's at cafe hyperion, there are two of them. arcade alpha and arcade beta.
Next to buzz lightyear there alwo was another arcade but that's where the bureau annuall pass is right now.
I havnt seen this open in a very long time at least not on my last 3 visits! Which is a shame as my son is buzz mad. Can anyone tell me if itll be open 2nd wk of dec or mid march?? Thankyou! He's 4 only out of 10 trips only once it's been open :(
I hope this restaurant is open when I visit the park, (October 25 and 26) We normally take a pizza or pasta menu at Colonell Hathi's but I think this is a better deal.
Does anyone know if it's open next week?

I've done both of these options and I do think it depends on how hungry you are, the meal deals that Colonel Hathi's offer are pretty good value if Pizza Planet isn't open.
Wasn't open in our December trip last year, neither was it open on this years march trip... Boo! But will have a look on our September trip... Really would make my son smile! Like every little boy who is toy story mad :)
Can anyone shed any light on when it was last known to be open by any chance? I'm mucho intrigued :D
Was hoping it would be open for us to try in May. It wasn't open when we went in the summer.
I must admit that I'm hoping it will be open too Zee (although its first week in June for us lol)
It's never open, we visit 2-3 times a year the last time we saw it open was 4 years ago. Very disappointing however we havnt ever visited in June ago you maybe in luck?! If so take some photos and let us know please! Good luck and have a wonderful trip!
I had a google to see if there had been any official closure reports of it, but nope. What I did find though was that its not usually open out of season and even then when it is the busier times, it's only on certain days, so I'm pretty sure now that it will be closed when we go in June.
I also have read lots and lots of (sadly) really bad reviews on the food and restaurant in general  I prefer trying a place for myself before making my mind up, but there really was a vast amount of bad reviews...so I'm not sad now at the probability of it being closed whilst I'm there...
I'll still have a check though to see if it is open.
It wasn't much cop when we ate there 4 years ago, but even so it's quite amazing inside especially for small toy story fans like my son! Wich is why we always have a look apparently it's a buffet style thing now where it used to be different we just popped in for a snack/hot drinks, happy holidays anyway!
Happy holidays to you too :D
We were there last June (17th to 21st) - And it was open, the restaurant itself was very quiet considering how busy the park was. The play area was quite run down as was the rest of the restaurant, everything is covered in dust and dirty, plus the play area smelled of urine! - The food was ok but again sub standard cardboard plates and the food areas were dirty and poorly maintained. I hate being negative about DLP but out of the whole holiday this was the most disappointing part, so not too bad in all.
Hi
I just had an email from DLP (I had requested some nutritional info from the dieticians) and they advised Pizza PLanet is closed?
Such a shame as we were looking forward to it
xx

Closed for good? That's a terrible shame I always hoped someday wed find it to be open again!
I liked it when I went, but I guess it helped I went around 11.45 so it was very quiet and only just opened. If it's closed for good its a shame. I always thought they should build a proper Pizza Planet in the Toy Story Land at WDS

I agree that it would be much better to have the pizza planet in toy story play land I cannot believe it has been closed though what a shame we have every visit gone too see but it's never open so unfortunate!

In all honesty I would say you're not missing out on a great deal. The food, to me, was good. and it offered good value for money compared to the pizza based set meals in the park. But it did feel like an over decorated school canteen at best.
I've eaten there before I purely would like to go for my son who's toy story crazy he met Jessie there the last time it was open he was only one and he's nearly 5 and never even Been open since
Aww :( I would love to see a 'true' Pizza planet one day
Me too.. But not sure that'll happen? But it would make a great addition to the studios
I doubt it too, there's so much which could be done, its just a shame they dont have the money
