"Magic Everywhere!" is the title of a new original song written especially for the 20th Anniversary (//http://www.magicforum.eu/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11081), that will be used as the main theme of Disney Magic on Parade! (//http://www.magicforum.eu/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=12499), replacing "Just Like We Dreamed It".
According to
@InsideDLParis, the song has been worked on by the same team who have produced several Disney Channel hits, and will be around 4 minutes in length. Others report it will sound similar to the music of Mickey's Soundsational Parade at Disneyland in California. The lyrics reportedly go as follows:
QuoteYeah yeah yeah
Celebrate the magic
Yeah yeah yeah
Celebrate the magic
Magic! Magic!
Magic everywhere !
Come step inside this storybook
You'll be amazed each time you look
And marvel at the magic all around you
As pixie dust falls from a star
It touches you and here you are
One wish away from all you've dreamed
This world of wonders
A place like no other on earth
CHORUS
Magic Everywhere !
All that you imagine
Celebrate the pageant
Before your eyes !
In a world of light
We all come together
Neverland's for ever
For all our lives
Celebrating 20 years of joy and laughter
Memories you'll keep long after
Sharing all the magic everywhere
Friends come from
Every corner of the world
To feel the magic
That is real
CHORUS
Celebrating 20 years of joy and laughter
memories you'll keep long after
Disneylands's the place where
Joy lights up each face there
Wheter the young and young at heart
Share dreams of a lifetime
Finding right from the start
Magic Everywhere (Celebrate ! celebrate ! celebrate !)

Well... I'll withhold judgment until I've heard it but that sure sounds as if someone put all Disney marketing buzzwords in a blender and called it lyrics...
The first verse seems lovely, but after that it's almost nothing but repetition...
I like the first verse but really is that it?
Doesnt even come close the greatness of Just like we dreamed it.
Sounds good! Can't wait to hear it!
Any idea how long it'll take before the track will be released? I'm beyond excited waiting for this.
The song can't be complicated like Just Like We Dreamed It . Because they need to make slightly diffrent versions for every float. I already love it.
I think it would be at the end of March that the song and "Believe In Magic" will be released on CD
Today official presentation of the new 20th Anniversary Theme Song "Magic Everywhere!". It seems the song lyrics were incorrect, so our friend Glstitch has posted the real one.
Thanks Lorum, I've updated the first post.

And here it is. The song was played for the first time at today's Shareholders AGM:
^^Beaten to it! ;)
First impressions?
Sounds generically good if a little too high-pitched for my ears. I'm glad the lyrics do specifically mention "20 years".
Ha, sorry.=P
I think it only sounds like that because of the audio-quality. But I love it, reminds me of 90's bands like Steps. =P
After listening to it about 10 times, I really like it.
I hated it after the first listen but it really a song that could grow on you.
I like it. Its already stuck in my head and thats got to be a good thing!
Can't
stop
listening.
:D
love it cant wait to see it in june
Its ok but doesn't give me goosebumps like the old parade song. DD1 was jumping , dancing & clapping throughout though.
I like it, though I'll prefer hearing it in person or when it's better quality.
I don't like how Flora, Fauna and Merryweather appear as face characters in the video. I thought they looked bad in Aurora's Wish, I hope they return back to normal in the parade, but things don't look promising :0(
I must wait to hear it in high quality, but now I'd say that "Just Like We Dreamed It" was better by far. The lyrics promised.
It's growing on me the more I listen to it; but I don't think you can get the full impact of the new theme song without watching the floats go along! :D/
Loved it!!! Goosebumps even from a not so good quality video, can't wait to see it!!!
Please, someone to give the choreographer the retirement. Or show her some videos from Dream Along and Celebrate the Season in Walt Disney World.

I'm sure I read somewhere that due to French laws, if a dancer has to perform more complicated moves they must receive a higher wage, I think that's why our choreography is always lacking. :?

yes - cheesy but great!! :)
The tune seems really good cant wait to hear it with the parade
I think the song is great and I already have it stuck in my head. I think it is a brilliant song to use for a celebration and am looking forward to seeing it in the parade.

Oh, great! Due to French laws, we can't enjoy high-level fireworks. And now, we can't see better performances due to French laws. That's great, awesome!
Wow, that recording really is horrendous. It won't sound a thing like it in the parks for sure. Nice little routine and I love the costumes :)

And then ran it through Melodyne.
It's funny, I never thought three songs could be as indistinguishable to me as Singin' a Catchy Rythm, Just Like We Dreamed It and this. It's another one of those songs that seem to be forever playing as I eat gelato.
Honestly, I am seriously underwhelmed. I just don't think it's that strong a melody. I really liked 'Just like we're dreaming' but I just dont feel anything for this one. It's just a bit backgroundy. Hopefully it'll grow on me.
Is it sad that I went to bed last night singing "yeah yeah yeah, celebrate the magic"?
Quote from: "littlemermaid83"Is it sad that I went to bed last night singing "yeah yeah yeah, celebrate the magic"?
Not at all - I've been going around singing the same - DH thinks it's hilarious! :D/
I don't like the music so much, but I woke up today singing "Come step inside this storybook".
I didn't like "Just Like We Dreamed It" when I first heard it as it wasn't "Dancing a Catchy Rhythm"; but after seeing the Just Like We Dreamed It parade several times; the words got totally stuck in my head! Have a feeling it may be the same with the new music???
Until now I'm heavily disappointed by that song. Hopefully it's better when seeing the parade.
Better quality Magic Everywhere! theme song.

It will no doubt be a very popular song and work well to liven up the parade route (I can tell from their meddling with parade stops DLP feel the current score is a little too placid), but it's already beginning to grate on me a little with that massively stretched-out "everywheeeeeeeere" and the terrible vocals. There's absolutely no personality to them, stripped and reformulated to within an inch of their life. It seems more like the kind of high-energy, zero-soul Tokyo Disneyland-ish song we'd have for the character train. Though it is entirely what I expected.
Intrigued to see how it's actually used in the parade now...
I like it, it's not as magical feeling as Just Like We Dreamed It was, but it's definately got a party/celebration feel to it. I think the Steps comparisons are pretty accurate!
I'd imagine it'd come back and be used like how JLWDI was used in the parade for show stops, I particularly can see a return of the streamers on the final note!
As I said on DLRP Today, it is in my opinion a very poor song, especially when compared to its predecessors. I hope that they use it sparingly, I suspect that I will be going round and round on POTC when the parade is on. :x A shame considering some of the great music around the park too.
If they get the pacing and choreography of the parade right, it will sound great. I for one love it. It's not magical at all, it's party-ish. But I also loved It's Party Time...
I think too many people are judging by this low-quality recording!
Also, I maintain that the song, while not as beautiful as JLWDI, is going to allow for tight choreography and exciting dance sequences, that OUADP only showed off fully in its original showstop. I can see the resemblance of this track to the music from Tokyo, but I am happy that we still keep an up to date, pop-style track that's in keeping with the "magic" theming of the parade and Disney itself, rather than a really dated sounding chorally-led piece. We also have rather good lyrics again, considering it is a simple song to work with. Eat that, TDL.
Even though the recording is not all that good and that the track is really quite simple, I have a feeling that the song has been produced really well, and it will sound amazing during performances. This song is so vital to restoring the energy and excitement OUADP lost slowly as showstops were changed.
Of course, I understand this is totally down to opinion. Rant over. ;)
I just don't understand Disney's inclination to keep making cheesy, poppy, dancey sort of songs, when Disney is renowned for some award-winning music. Instead of having something that sounds like Steps or S Club 7, why not have a classic sounding, Menken-esque song, still upbeat and able to be danced to, but with a far more "magic" feel, rather than "Dancing A Catchy Rythym or "Magic Everywhere," that sounds so much like the auto-tuned tween-pop that's churned out left, right and centre.
Thats my thoughts. I though JLWDI was a step forward, with some great lyrics, but Magic Everywhere! is a definite half-step back.
I agree.
Yes, so do I. What an anniversary like this (bound to last at least three years) needs is a full-blown soundtrack, properly orchestrated, not "a song" that will surely send the Cast Members who have to listen to it twenty times a day to the brink of insanity. A score, that would have been nice. Treat every day like a theatrical performance, the parade as the first-act finale and Dreams as act 2. The character train is a motif that returns every ten minutes, like Wicked's "Something Incredible." I could see it now.
Kids still love "Under the Sea." People still attend musicals. Movies are still scored. So I don't understand whose bright idea it was that Disney's in-park entertainment now has to sound like a German yoghurt commercial.
Totally agree with you columbiad and Pussinboots.
Although the quality of the recording isn't good, it gives you a sense of how it will be. And in my opinion it is not of the same grandness like JLWDI. Even Cathy A Dancing Rythm is better. My favorite is still All Around the World.
Quote from: "dagobert"My favorite is still All Around the World.
Mine too, I love that song.
Quote from: "pussinboots"Treat every day like a theatrical performance, the parade as the first-act finale and Dreams as act 2.
I love this idea.
I liked "All Around the World" too but it always feels quite lightweight and lacking in drama, which was odd for ImagiNations with its enormous floats. It somehow managed to make that parade feel small and unimportant - at least when they had switched to playing the song on a continuous loop, rather than the lovely individual float scores (were those ever used? I saw the parade in Summer 2000 and already they just stuck the song on repeat).
We do at least have Fantillusion for a great example of a parade score.
The Cinema Parade over at the Studios had a great score as well. Much better than any daytime parade at the Disneyland Park in its 20-year history, I think. Come to think of it, has there ever been a daytime parade there that's had a score that was was neither a mere medley nor Europop? Hmm.
I completely agree. Disney Cinema Parade had a great soundtrack. Official native voice actors for the characters and the like.

Splendid, from start to finish.

Exactly.
(I just realized I confused Wicked's "Unlimited" with its "Book of Mormon" spoof version, but ah well. Not that I'm obsessed with that show or anything, rest assured.)
The ImagiNations parade did originally have a great, if slightly incoherent soundtrack. Great parade, too. What a cruel fate it did meet. No idea why, frankly. I suppose crowds didn't love it as much as they'd hoped, and this must have been the moment they realized it was far easier just to put a pop song on repeat and get people clapping like idiiiiāeh, get them clapping.
So will the song be on repeat with nothing else in between each float?
They can't possible fob us off with that, I don't mind the song but I want a whole parade score with the new song played during a show stop.

I highly doubt they would play the same song for each float (god forbid if they do!) But I think it's just going to be like it used to - Magic Everywhere is the new Just like we dreamed it.
Knowing the way DLRP is going, I won't be shocked if they keep the same score they have now for each float, just with a few changes because of the new float/s and rearrangement of them.
If not, like I said, god forbid, I like the song, just not for 20-30 minutes.
BUT! Then again this could just be a snippet of the show-stop song and the same tune might continue throughout the parade like Soundsational and other parades.
I'm of the feeling that the music will actually be repeated all the way through :S Any word on character dialogue being used for the parade, since we're talking about it?
According to rumors that have so far been true, this will simply be the main theme of the soundtrack, with variations of it for each float. I have a gut feeling that this parade is going to be amazing. Everyone else is doubting this, but I really think they're going to pull it off. I'm pretty sure we can erase all speculation of the track being looped. No one would even dare do that anymore :P
The 20th Anniversary audio press kit published today (normally just various random sound effects) surprisingly includes two full versions of the song, so here they are! A "Song Version", which I presume and hope will be available to actually buy as a CD single (or even a download?), and a longer 4 minute "Parade Version".

As I said in a another post, it seems like a good song. Like the rhythm of it.
Thanks for posting, sounds great, can't wait to buy my copy to add to the collection.
Really impressed that these are being released so soon. May well buy the CD this year (I always forget).
All we need now is a full music release for Dreams and we're set.
:D/ :D/ Mightily impressed :D/ :D/
I'm sure everyone will convince Disney to have all the sounds tracks released on iTunes. Also is it me but the song has a little bit of auto-tune I don't mind but just convinced.
In the song version of Magic Everywhere auto tune has definitely been used. I don't mind but it is glaringly been made obvious which did surprise me otherwise I love the song still and do hope it is properly released to buy.
