Title: Resort Refurbishments
Post by: dagobert on June 03, 2011, 03:14:26 PM
I'm opening a general topic about the refurbs going on around the whole resorts, so that we don't have to open a new one for every new refubishment.

A new pavement around the Hotel Cheyenne buildings is currently under construction:

So disappointing about DisneyFashion selling mainly girls clothing.

I suppose that that rules out the chances of Disney Fashion being replaced after World of Disney opening then.

It could just be that they only took a photo of the girls section. :)

Didn't DisneyFashion already sell mainly girls clothing? I always struggled to find anything I would want in those stores.

There is still no official opening date for the World of Disney Store.

That fashion store is called disney Fashion and is located in the Disney Village.

God, that looks so much better. Still not Disney standard, but a massive improvement on what it was....

It looks aweful.....still, we always found some of the few things worth buying for the wife and kids, but it looks so tacky I had to hold back a little bile.

Oh my gosh!!! They've actually ran out of green fences! :P

As part of Hotel Cheyenne's refurb, they're re-painting all of their buildings.

for a while, it looked as if they had an endless supply!!! i bet they have used more green fence since january than they did all of last year

Post by: captain rocket on June 21, 2011, 08:58:50 PM
Seems there may be a new attitude to the fences, I was told that during the construction of World of Colour at DCA they left the fences off so everyone could see what was happening and the feedback was exteremly favourable, or maybe they just ran ou!!

It might just be that this doesn't need any tall fences, so this way there is plenty for in park refurbs
Title: Re: Resort Refurbishments
Post by: 15MagicalYears on June 21, 2011, 10:31:29 PM
I think they're just not using green fences as the guests still need to be able to access the facilities & their room.

Not hating the new look of Disney Fashion. I mean, we're still supposed to think of this a a temporary fix, surely, and keeping that in mind this is an improvement to the strange, strange place it was before. Reminds me a bit of Urban Outfitters in the US.

It´s great to see some work on NPBC, but i think this is not enough for this Hotel.
When Europapark will open they´re New England style Hotel next Year, it will look much better, and
i think the quality qill also be high standard. To bad the once best Hotels in Europe are now so bad...

The Disney Fashion Store looks just Ugly, sorry but i realy don´t like it at all. I always thought Disney Imagineers are
the best when it comes to interrior design, but now they show me that they are not...
Damn, Europe has the best Fashion Designers, Europe has the best Interrior Designers just DLP sucks in this categorie...

It's unlikely that Imagineering had anything to do with the interior design of that shop. :)
