@WDSFans:
This mysterious video hit YouTube yesterday.
It shows a guy wondering through Walt Disney Studios Park after closure and then running away for something, falling and being dragged back into the park.
[youtube:1pir78fj]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZeGzNEKCNQ[/youtube:1pir78fj]
Could this possibly another viral video for an upcoming entertainment event?
Its Michael Eisner, lurking in his favourite park ;)
Or it could be early advertising for something like Hong Kong does for its Halloween events, it would be a more teenage/adult friendly Halloween event in the Studios, perhaps a scare zone by ToT
looks very very very intresting perhaps as SM:M3 said something to do with halloween?
The lion roaring is an odd sound effect as it doesn't fit with anything in the park ! Seems a bit early for a Halloween promotion though !
Shouldn't they be running adverts for Toy Story Playland, given that it opens in less than 2 months, rather than weird virals that have no link to any new attraction?

Eisners favorite park haha that´s a good one
Cor, that's actually a bit creepy! Very 'Blair Witch Project'!!
bit of a disturbing ending!!!
"The lion roaring is an odd sound effect as it doesn't fit with anything in the park ! "
I think it was a dragon - as in the one from the Tram Tour's Reign of Fire set.
I was more thinking of sulley at the end haha...
haha what a cool, weird, video!!
That is awfully creepy. I wonder what they're trying to advertise/promote? Maybe it is just WDS in general? It could possibly get people talking?
Nice video, I love it when DLP does this kind of viral marketing.
As for what it means I'm going for an early Halloween event, probably something that centers around ToT, RnRC and Tram Tour. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a series of these videos from now up until October.
Also I was thinking it sounded more like a bear or a beast of some sort rather than a lion or dragon.
That is quite creepy for Disney....
(Great to see the Studio's lit up at night. Do get to see that when we go in January!)
I LOL'd when I saw this.....looks very interesting.
Maybe the key to the video is that the guy can't leave. Maybe its a subliminal hint that Disney are gonna start taking prisoners, forcing you to stay and sucking your bank account dry before they let you go home.
But I did find it weird that the firedoor from ToT leads straight to RnRC. What a way to beat the queues that would be
Terrorific Night 2! :D

Don't mean to brag but... ;)
Its great that they are doing a scarier event that wont be suitable for children, as Mickeys Not So Scary Party (or whatever its called) is designed for littl'uns
well spotted and a good call SM:M3! :D I think this is a fantastic idea :D
We'd considered going at Halloween this year but work hours etc, but I could see all of us doing MNSSP one night and then either me or hubby taking the teenager for this! Means everyone gets something :D
To me I think this is great news, I have always thoguht that DLRP should do something in the Studio's for Halloween mainly because of Tower of Terror sure will have a great setting for Halloween!
Is anyone planning to go? I so wish I could!
Quite the teaser!
I think it's neat that DLP has an adults-only Halloween event. DLR doesn't offer anything like this. It's okay though, because other amusement parks offer scarier Halloween events. I'll just have to make a trip to DLP to see this!
Hey guys!
Here is the official Terrorific Night 2 Poster in HD quality...

Whilst I can see that most people are pretty happy about this event, I'm really not a fan of it. To me, Disney is something the whole family can enjoy, and Halloween in DLP is really good balance of spooky and fun. Creating a 'not for kids' event goes against Walt's vision (more than TSPL ;)) and just doesn't feel Disney to me.
I know people will say 'it's just for fun', I know, scare attractions are a big part of my job, it's very fun - but it's also not Disney. It's Halloween Horror Nights, Howl-O-Scream, Knotts Scary Farm. That is where teens can go, without children to enjoy the scary side of Halloween. In Europe you've got Fright Nights, Terenzi Horror Nights, Port Aventura's Halloween Festival, but Disney to me is where families go for a bit of a spooky party, which all can enjoy.
None of the Disney movies are horror, they do have creepy villains, but they're used in DLP and still have a big hint of family to them. I realise that Hong Kong did horror mazes which were recieved very well, but when I go to a Disney park I expect to be taken to a magical place where the unexpected happens (at Halloween, possibly some small spooky surprises), I definately don't expect to have to leave kids at home and be on my guard that there may be something terrifying waiting around that corner (that isn't Backlot Express rethemes).
Maybe it's just me, I know I used the family argument to defend TSPL, and I stand by that, this is the sort of non family event which is not Disney, and belongs elsewhere. They could most definately make a good movie themed Halloween event (Villains take over and make their own versions of the movies - Jafar taking over Carpets, Villains in Animagique, Hades in Armageddon), but an all out 'horror' party doesn't sit right with me.
Scissorsboi, if your post had a "like" button, I would have clicked it. I completely agree with your post! The idea of an "adults only" event is kind of cool, but it just isn't "Disney" and I said so on my site's Facebook page. But Disney is always trying new things and if it's a success, I can see why they would stick with it.
The difference between this and TSPL is this is one night after the park closes to the public. TSPL will be there for at least a generation (probably several).
Exactly. The Terrorific Night is a special 'once per year' event after normal operating hours. I'm also a fan of the Halloween in Disney-style (I'm goning to one of the Not-So-Scary parties this year). I'm the 'target-audience' for Terrorific Night, but I'm going to Disney for a Halloween festival in Disney-style, not Universal-style. It doesn't effect the normal Halloween festivities, so I think it's OK.
This is very good news but this is to short a period to be comercially viable I would have thought as their will not be enough money made to put significant investment in the project. To make more financial sense the weekend before Halloween it should be staged on the Friday and Saturday nights as well as halloween itself then more investment can be made in shows, Characters and mazes which could find a temp home on the unused land next to disney Channel.
Why the negativity about an adults only night for one night of the year after the park closes? DLRP are constantly criticised for not having any new ideas so this seems a sensible move to me, I was not going for Halloween this year as I think the event has been getting weaker and weaker year on year, but this event has made me think twice and I may now visit so a victory for Disney!
Does anyone know how you go about getting tickets for this event? I have contacted DLRP reservations who know nothing about it!
It's not aranged by Disney but by a french music store I think. Heres their web page, u might find something here.

Thanks for the information, you were absolutely right, tickets are on sale on this site!
Quote from: "captain rocket"Thanks for the information, you were absolutely right, tickets are on sale on this site!
Do you have the Direct Link?
I can't seem to find it on the FNAC website...
Sorry I don't have the link, I selected the English option (top right of infor bar) and then entered Terrorific Night and it brought up a whole series of Halloween ticket availability. It did not say Terrorific Night, it said Halloween party, but the date offered was 30th October at 9.00 pm so I assume this is the ticket on offer.
Hope this helps.

Oh, thanks, I found it.
I thought those were only the halloween tickets. didn't see the 30th option!
Kenny :)
Following the information about tickets for this event I have recived a discount offer from the shareholders club and it is now confirmed that you can buy these tickets from Disney reservations in the normal way! When I bought my tickets, the lady who dealt with my booking told me she was excited about the event as during her training for the event she was told that "changes" would be made to some of the attractions for the event, they would not tell her what they would be but it was indicated that it would add to the experience of the evening! Now I am really looking forward to going!
Hi everyone!
Myself and a listener of our show will be heading over to Disneyland Paris for the Halloween Weekend. As part of it we are going to the Terrorific Night at the Studios and wondered if anyone else was planning on headin over? If so, does anyone fancy getting a group together and heading over there? Thought it might be a bit of fun as a big party!
Let me know!
Have all the tickets for this night sold out? I was hoping to get them when we arrived but reading other sites it seems they've now sold out? Please say it's not true!!! I was hoping to get them with Dream Passport discount but quite happy to pay full price. I'm needing 3 tickets.

I dont think disney were selling these tickets anyway :?
It's an FNAC party, so they sell the tickets (I think), this (french) page should explain it: http://www.fnacspectacles.com/place-spe ... -MIHA0.htm (http://www.fnacspectacles.com/place-spectacle/manifestation/Parc-d-attraction-LES-SOIREES-HALLOWEEN-MIHA0.htm%22%20onclick=%22window.open(this.href);return%20false;)
But then again:

Thanks! I did look on the FNAC site but it's showing as nothing available. I also saw them listed on the fr disney site but it's showing as sold out there (or at least no tickets). I just hope some more tickets are made available as I'll be gutted if we miss out.....
I managed to book mine via the booking line the other week. However the staff member had to go and speak to a line manager for ages until they realised they could sell me a ticket. They also said I couldn't get Annual Passport discount on the ticket. I'm not surprised if it is sold out as it is a very rare event. Maybe give the reservation line a bell and get them to check for you, but I wouldn't leave it too long as obviously the longer you leave it the chances of getting tickets becomes slimmer.

Unlike last year, it's not a FNAC exclusive event.

I booked mine some two weeks ago via the booking line and was given 50% annual passport (dream) discount. The lady who sold me the tickets was very enthusiastic about the event and had just bought her own tickets! it may be worthwhile contacting Disney again as you may be entitled to a refund! my tickets are price marked 14.50 euros
^Thanks for the info. I would call again but it's cost me so much money to call them already that it'd probably be best just to leave it.
Oh well, looking forward to the event now, not long to go :D
I rang and booked mine and also got Shareholders discount. Tickets ended up costing 24.65 each. Should be a good night. How many people from here are going?
I've just rung a Disney media contact of mine and they have confirmed that the event is indeed sold out. It apparently sold the last of its tickets just over a week ago.
I asked about the lack of advertising in this country and was told that is is really because of it being one night in a different country that it wasn't worth spending the budget on and it was more aimed towards to the Spain/France/Belgium market.
They did also say that there is a chance that many people won't be able to go due to the French strikes so there is a slim possibility that tickets might become available on the day but she did want me to emphasise that you shouldn't be making a special tip to the resort just for this event as there are no guarantees.
If you can't make it, I will be covering it for the Disneybrit Podcast, which is a UK based Disney show and I hope to have some video footage too. If you want to be kept up to date with all the Disneyland Paris stuff then check us out (Disneybrit.com or Disneybrit Podcast on iTunes). We announced the Terrorific Night back in September.

 great grown-up style Halloween, they should try and get this more known also outside of France next year.
^ and they should try to look how other parks (in Europe) create Halloween-festivals like this. Walibi World is a great example (Dutch website (//http://www.walibiworldhalloween.nl/))
