Title: (Rumour) Hyperspace Mountain to revert back to Mission 2?
Post by: claire2281 on December 26, 2017, 10:05:14 PM
People suspected it might happen when they saw the design of the trains but it's now semi official that the Hyperspace Mountain overlay is only temporary and Space Mountain with revert back to the Mission 2 theme in November 2018.

I like the Star Wars visuals inside but I can't think of much else that will change - and lets hope DLP gets its own version of Galaxy's Edge at some point!

This is great news, i was worried we had genuinely lost SM to Star Wars like we will ToT to Guardians of the Galaxy (RIP) This is will give me a reason to come back to DLP instead of WDW

We want the moon back! People would be so impressed with what the original SM was. Discoveryland lost it's soul and it's true meaning.

Interesting, a year was a long overlay though but it was obvious when they never returned the internal walk through that much.

Oh good! I loved SM, but the star wars theme was just a big no for me.

regardless of the theming I always found Space Mountain a rather painful experience, especially my shoulder ramming into the seat. A smoother, more Rock n Roller Coaster esque experience would be a higher priority for me.

It's much better now the new trains have been installed.
