NOW ONLINE!!! (//http://www.disneylandparis.com/BROCHURE/SUMMER12/E/catalogue/appli.htm)
I just read on DLRP-Magic's facebook page that the new Spring/Summer 2012 brochure will be launced tomorrow!
Also that bookings have" the longest booking window ever (up to 31st December 2012!) and confirmation that the 20th Anniversary celebrations officially begin on... 1st April 2012!"
I thought the new brochure wouldn't be realised until later this year. I cannot wait to see it.
ya u were able to check prices for up to june now the prices are not there any more I wonder are they increasing the prices orcoming up with a great deal ....fingers crossed forgood deals please disney
This is exciting. We may find out just what is planned for next year
Wow. I wasn't expecting the brochure to be what gives us the info on the 20th. Hopefully it will be a hype-filled brochure, this year. I can't wait. XD
Anyone got any idea how long the celebrations will be on for? I know the 15 anniversary ones ran for over a year and would be so happy if the same applied for these celebrations - I'd love to see them but am not sure if we can afford a trip next year.
A small brochure has been launched giving details on prices: http://brochure.disneylandparis.co.uk/U ... Prices.pdf (http://brochure.disneylandparis.co.uk/UK/EN/Neutral/Images/PDF-Summer-Prices.pdf%22%20onclick=%22window.open(this.href);return%20false;)
Wow....the price for the hotel I was waiting to book has gone up from £417 per person to £504 per person!!!! The 25% offer hardly makes a difference! I hope they have something amazing planned for 20th anniversary to explain these prices.
Hmm. Maybe the brochure isn't coming out today, after all. Maybe it was actually just the prices for the 20th. I guess they realised they're leaving the 20th announcement a bit late, so they released the prices anyway.
What's going on? Have they still not confirmed exactly what they'll be doing next year?
New brochure is out sooner then I would have thought. I do find though, that the travel agents where I live (Sussex...named and shamed) are the last ones to get them out! I end up getting it weeks after everyone else. I'd also noticed that the site I usually book with have taken down next summers prices. Probably in preparation to whack them up.
Can't blame Disney for that really, they will make a fortune next year. It will be THE year to go. I better start saving now.
I had thought that we'd really treat ourselves and try to stay at the Disneyland Hotel next summer seeing as its the 20th anniversary and all. Just had a quick look at the prices and that may not actually be possible :(
i have heard a rumour on a theme park fan site (general one), that they may start marketing more in the US, almost like a "disney pilgrimage". anyone know about this?
I notice that the prices etc are now up on the UK site, prices seem pretty reasonable, for DLrP that is ;)
i'm on the dlp website, and looking at the price guide they have in the brochures section. it looks like this is the pages that will be in then brochure! heres some stuff about it:
it looks very clean, not tacky, and very proffesional. however, the pricing calender is quite hard to read.
looks like the map will be on the inside cover of the brochure. this could be good, as flipping through the whole booklet is annoying.
from late march, davys crocket will charge for breakfast, is this new?
a clear double page for the dining plans, really easy to read!
advertises prices for all added extras, strangely as well as prices for sea life?!
there seems to be an emphasis on monsters, inc, with several pictures
so, it looks good, and i like the fresh feel of it
any one having difficulty trying to get the prices on the website...saw them on brochure as these are for uk still nothing for ireland yet and they seem to have taken down all prices for end ofmarch onwards....and most of the travel agetns online have taken there prices down too . Hoping to go in june next year as got a taste of the warm weather in october and well loved it...so thinkin june is a definite
I went into our local travel agents today but they had only recieved 6 copies of the new brochure and they had all gone. I have one reserved so hopefully will get it in the next few days. Does it say anything about dates for MNSSHP 2012?
Now I'm hearing rumours that the 2012 brochure will be on the website tomorrow. We'll see...
Weird - they definitely announced it would launch Wednesday 2nd November, and I'm fairly sure not just a price guide either as they provided a link (http://www.disneylandparis.com/BROCHURE ... /index.htm (http://www.disneylandparis.com/BROCHURE/SUMMER12/E/catalogue/index.htm%22%20onclick=%22window.open(this.href);return%20false;)) with a note that it would not be live until Wednesday.
Anyway, here's a bit more info while we wait:
QuoteNext year, Disneyland Paris turns 20! And on Wednesday 2nd November, we will launch our brand new brochure for 2012, featuring fantastic special offers and deals. The brochure will be valid for arrivals until 31st December 2012 (our biggest booking window ever!) And new prices will apply.
New elements in this brochure:
· 20th Anniversary celebrations – from 1st April 2012
· Full Board Meal Plan option added – see page 42
· Welcome tea/coffee kit in Disney® Hotels (excluding Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch)
Keys changes in this brochure:
· For new bookings made from 2nd Nov for arrivals at Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch from 29th March 2012, board basis is Room Only - breakfast is no longer included in the package price. It's available either by booking a Meal Plan option or buying directly onsite – see page 23
The clean look of the pricing pages is nice, but what's it a brochure for? Disney movies? They really need to remember they're not the Disney Store, they're Disneyland. Selling a theme park, with real lands and attractions.
I guess that means it could come out at any time, now. I wonder what the reason for the delay is. I could be that there's a factual inaccuracy they need to correct. That's usually it for these sorts of things.
just rang disney to enquire re June 2012 and was told irish prices not available till the 9th of November when then launch brochure prices....
Ah I thought that might be the case. Financial results on Tuesday, new brochure next Wednesday?
Any news regarding the brochures guys if its released or not? The prices for Malta haven't been launched yet sadly.... :(
My dad texted me saying he had the brochure - But since I'm at UNI i cannot see it myself - I hope it is the official one and not just a price guide. He's not replied back as of yet.
I'm going to go down to co-op later to see if they have it - but it's still not online as of yet - hopefully it's tomorrow.
EDIT:
THE FRONT COVER IS AMAZING! NO FREAKY MICKEY! =D Freaking out! I cannot wait to go down to co-op and see if they have it. =D

WOW!
Love the fact they all have a water splash effect about them - not unlike the World of Colour promotional material ;)
Its curious that they still choose Buzz to be the main character of the cover, rather than Peter Pan who rumours have cited to be the main character of the nightie spectacular.
Although the cover is still far away from the quality of the 90ies, it is indeed a lot better than in recent years. It's the first time since the early 2000s that I'm not disappointed.
Nice! Looking good so far... :D
I went down to my local co-op travel and they didn't have the brochure, however they did have some small company leftlets with two different fronts - one was of the creepy mickey and the other was like the photo I posted earlier however with no "flying" characters just of them around the castle - more of them too. I didn't take any with me coz I didn't feel they were necessary.
Also the old Magic Moments E-Brochure has been taken down from the main site. So fingers crossed it will be up tomorrow. [-o<
Oh. I didn't realise you'd posted about it, alternativerock. I've just posted about the brochure myself in the 20th anniversary topic. XD I'll quote my post:
QuoteI have the official brochure! I got it off a travel agent today, and it looks great; very professional! much better than the photoshopped picture books we've had the last couple of years. The front cover doesn't have the horrifying poster on it. It has a cartoon version of Mickey in the bottom-left corner wearing the same suit. He's smiling up at an amazing array of colours floating in the air behind six of the characters, who are flying around the castle. The branding seems to be a rainbow look with golds and greens.
The first page has a new map of the the resort on a pull-out page. The second page shows the new stuff for the 20th: the Disney Colour, Light and Magic Show, the Disney Magic on Parade (which oddly had a picture of the Soundsational parade in Disneyland California) and Meet Mickey Mouse. There's also "extended hours" and new magic hours.
The next page also mentions a new "Main Street USA Celebrates" thing, but I can't gather what it is from the description, but it seems to have something to do with lights.
Also, the phrase "magic, light and colours" appears a lot. :P
Is it sad that I'm thinking of making the trip into town tomorrow simply to pick up the new broucher? Can't wait to see what's in store for next year :D
And woohoo, the official site longer seems to be competely dependent on Flash. Means that I can finally look at stuff on the iPad!
me too! i was going shopping anyway but this is a top priority!
More Brochure images of the 20th anniversary popping up... 8)

BUT still no online brochure yet available!
Its interesting to look at the breakdown of characters chosen.
Out of the 14 visible, 6 are Pixar, 3 are Princesses and 5 are Fab Five characters. Thats all their most popular franchises covered :P
Shame Peter isn't included considering his role in the "Dreams" show.
picked up my brochure looks fantastic except the prices!
brochure not to be launched in ireland until 15th of november so we dont have any ideas of what prices we are to expect yet but judging by the response its going to be expensive
Quote from: "Columbiad"Shame Peter isn't included considering his role in the "Dreams" show.
In the official Disney brochure, he's projected onto the castle and is surrounded by fountains that are probably from World of Colour. :)
Yo guys! Just asking, when is the brochure coming out in the UK?
It already is out. ;) It's... just not online, for some reason.
Finally got a copy after trawling round my home town looking in every travel agents.
Got my brochure a few days ago , It looks quite good , but the prices are eye watering , a trip in Nov this year is £400 , same thing next year £500 , that is a 25 % increase in a year ,.I think I priced this for the Sequoia Lodge , low season . Disney strangely give 25 % off the 2012 price if you book before April 30th , which makes it exactly the same pricing ; but after that it is a huge price jump !!!
I think I am being a bit anal about the brochure, but I don't understand why they devote two pages to Walt Disney Studios and include Sleeping beauties castle which we all know is in Disneyland park but omit the Tower of terror! it just seems sloppy!! I did notice a little note at the bottom of a couple of pages "Visuals not contractural" So I guess they are covering themselves I also dislike the bottom right hand corner of the pages being yellow with white print, difficult in most lights to read the small print and the guys that design these things are supposed to be professionals!!
Quote from: "captain rocket"I also dislike the bottom right hand corner of the pages being yellow with white print, difficult in most lights to read the small print and the guys that design these things are supposed to be professionals!!
I thought that, too! It was hard to read when it was dark outside and I had the lamps on.

Ahhhh. Oh yeah, to say that this is the year no one should miss - there was really a lack of information.
No fireworks mention.
But the thing that made me go "oh" was the 4 day extension of Halloween until the 4th November.
Very impressed with the brochure. Fantastic images and a lovely combination of classic and contemporary that combines the best aspects of the old brochures and the new ones. They seem to be showcasing the park more and more swell which is good.
Shame vey little is new or exciting though.
I've just browsed through the new brochure and I have to say I'm again disappointed. I admit there is an improvement, but compared with other Disney brochures from the 90ies or Europa Park it is again a cheap catalogue.
That's what I expect from a nice brochure:

Ten years ago, all themeparks learned from Disney, now Disney can learn from them.

Exactly Dagobert,
The Europa-Park Brochure is a brillant advertisement for the main thing, the Theme Park.
The Disney Brochure gives each theme park exactly two pages, with the Studios reduced to Toy Story Play Land with the Castle as their centrepiece. The main focus is on hotels, the obligatory "don't you dare to miss it" and other stuff that could easily be reduced to a few pages. I remember the nineties, when each land had it's own double page spread.
If I was merely a themepark fan I couldn't find one good reason why I should go to DLP.
It seems that today they are only milking their franchise instead of delivering top notch attractions and they don't even try to pretend otherwise.
In fact I completely agree with both of you. My inner design-student just gets the better of me and geeks out when the glossy pictures come out. :P
I think they lost completly their way of explaining the parks to new customers. I even don´t think that a new customer would get what he should expect out of this 4 (!!!) theme park pages.
Quote from: "pfspock"I remember the nineties, when each land had it's own double page spread.
And that´s were they should start again. Let the people see the park and they will come. so much space for all this other stuff...why?
Agreed. It is pointless, Disney keeps shoving the idea it is all about toons and kids. And yet, my recent survey, the vast majority of votes by people on this board showed it is the atmosphere they love. For me, Europa park has they very best brochures, universal Orlando, port aventura, they all show the purpose of going.
Instead we get synergy and up sell. I hate it.
Having spent decades defending Disney and telling people it is not just for kids, Disney have undone that and sell the place on that basis now. Grrrrrr
This is the first Time I am actually waiting for the Prices to come out, because I want to book for May. And I have to admit that I am a bit stunned that the Prices for UK are out, even ready to be booked, with the new Brochure and everything, while there is nothing for the Rest of Europe, from what I could find.
Why is that? Because most of the visitors to DL come from the UK?
We've called the Reservation Office and according to them, the Prices for Switzerland for 2012 will only be out end of January. So I can only book my holidays for May by the End of January. I don't really see the logic behind that.
Anyway. Does anyone have any knowledge if Mainland Europe will get the same deals and specials that are now in the Brochure? Like the 5 Days / 4 Nights for 4 Days / 3 Nights Deal in May? Thank you!
Quote from: "Catalina"Anyway. Does anyone have any knowledge if Mainland Europe will get the same deals and specials that are now in the Brochure? Like the 5 Days / 4 Nights for 4 Days / 3 Nights Deal in May? Thank you!
Yes, it's odd that they are holding off so long for the European bookings. Are they waiting to find out if we will still be using the euro, perhaps? Or perhaps they just think that Europeans wait longer to book anyway, as opposed to the Brits. I suppose we don't usually have to factor flights and ferries in!
Here in the Netherlands we do seem to get the same sort of offers as the UK, days free, kids free, flash sales and so on. Last year it also seemed to be a touch cheaper: when I was booking our Nov/Dec trip I compared the prices on all the sites and found that my price quoted in euros was the same as the one quoted in pounds, which meant that the euro one was better value in real terms.
But I'm also expecting our prices/offers to be much higher this year. I would like to go right at the beginning of July before the French and UK schools break up, but am seriously thinking about staying off-site this time.
By co-incidence, just got a mail about a flash sale for December/January dates: 50% off for DLH, HNY and NBC and 40% for the other hotels. If you can hold your nerve and book late, you really do get some good bargains!
Quote from: "DutchBrit"If you can hold your nerve and book late, you really do get some good bargains!
The only problem that is that the flights are expensive by then. Well, on easyJet, at least.
i just rang disney and us irish who have to book flights no euro tunnnel here no prices out....its driving me mad I wish to go in June and i like to book lfights early to get a good price....and they said to keep an eye on website over next few days they orginally said 15th of November now its keep an eye on website....so were still waiting unlike our british counter parts....
that flash sale is that only for netherlands?

If you look at Page 9 of the brochure the picture under
Summer Time 'Magical Seasons' does show fireworks. It would be a bit naughty therefore if they didn't have fireworks [-o<
Summer without fireworks, whatever next  ;)
In our country (Czech Republic - heart of middle Europe) nothing like 5/4 days / meal/ special sales deal.. nothing!! :( Very bad. Booking has end in March. Nothing more.
very bad promotion in our country for years - i mean absolutely nothing.
Interesting, especially considering Paris was chosen so that it's within 2 hours flight of all of Europe, then they treat a country as if they aren't wanted. By that reasoning there should be a Disneyland in north Korea!
Quote from: "peter"Interesting, especially considering Paris was chosen so that it's within 2 hours flight of all of Europe, then they treat a country as if they aren't wanted. By that reasoning there should be a Disneyland in north Korea!
True. In fact - 1 hour flight from our country to Paris :(
And we have technical problems with booking on DLP site many times.
Quote from: "carrydee38"that flash sale is that only for netherlands?
Don't know if it's
only for the Netherlands, but that's the site I'm registered at, so that's where the mail came from.
I don't know why some countries get offers and some don't. But I'm pretty sure that there's a strategy in place and that there are reasons for it. The Dutch like bargains and most would choose to drive rather than fly, so there's a bit of extra flexibility.
So even when the summer prices are finally released on the Dutch site, I won't be booking until at least next spring just to see if the offers get better. And going by what seems likely, they are going to have to get quite a lot better to get us on site!
Flipped throu the brochure online. It is very colorful, very "dreamy", but it would not make me go! Only two pages for each park is not enough! And who ever saw a castle in the Studios? ](*,) (always wanted to use that smilie)

I've been searching for the new Summer 2012 brochure in every Travel Agents I walk past. Which Travel Agents did people get the new brochure??? Thanks
Co-op travel had them in

Good news everyone, this lot have spotted a copy of the new brochure!!
Has anyone in the UK actually had success ordering this (or any) brochure from the official website recently? I've put in several "orders" over the past year and never received a thing. I contacted DLP a while ago and they ignored my question ("are you sure the online order form is working?") and told me I could order one over the phone.
I normally avoid travel agents as they tend to smirk at me for picking up a Disneyland brochure and/or expect me to want to book a holiday on the spot... I only want the brochure as memorabilia. :-)

I've tried all our local travel agents for a new DLP 2012 brochure - no joy!
Tried to download an e brochure or get a paper brochure from the DLP website and even tho I've requested and changed my password; it won't let me log in!

Hey, I just wanted to let you all know that the Brochure and Prices for Switzerland - and I assume therefore for all of Europe - are now also online.
I compared the Brochures and they are pretty much the same. The only thing that differs are the specials on Page 39. We don't get the "Make the Magic last longer" Special. I don't wanna complain, but I find that sorta unfair.
Ah well, like I said, just wanted to let you know...
Does anyone know when the Winter brochure is likely to be out (2012/2013) to include Christmas 2012?
Quote from: "Kt"Does anyone know when the Winter brochure is likely to be out (2012/2013) to include Christmas 2012?
No idea about the actual brochure, but booking is already open for the Christmas season. Just use the online tool.
Winter brochures are usually published around June. The never really include much information about Christmas though, if that's what you wanted. Concrete details of events, etc only tend to appear from August/September.
That's great, thanks guys. The season usually starts right after Fireworks doesn't it? We want to make the most of taking our little boy to see it at Christmas before he goes to school so we can avoid the holidays!!
Yes, Christmas this year starts from 10th November!
