The current state of the lagoon:

Apparently, this is part of a new "showbuilding".  It just looks like some plywood to me though, I guess it's still in very early stages?

The monorails have been diverted too!:

As of February 2006, the Monorail is operating in "shuttle mode", providing one way service between Tomorrowland and Downtown Disney, using the more direct portion of the track that passes over Disney's California Adventure. All riders are asked to disembark at both stations. This is due to construction of the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, over which part of the Monorail track passes.

here is a little video of the lagoon and the monorails
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoTn6GtS ... ed&search= (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoTn6GtSPZk&mode=related&search=)

plus i have some news right drom DLR
the submarine lake is now full with the submarinces in place and the monorail now allowing passengers to take a round trip (only red and purple are working though) and apparently the lateness of the opening is due to John lasseter going to see the atraction and saying "we will need another million dollers"

There's a very very nice interview with Tony Baxter in the latest Disneyland Resort Podcast all about the Subs (recorded from inside of them apparently!), lots of cool details and funny notes - like how they tried to revive the ride twice before using Atlantis then Treasure Planet, but had to stop both times because the films bombed. Needless to say he seems to like Pixar a lot.

This new ride at disneyland does look pretty cool!

When I visited (a while ago now) I can remember seing the old submarine ride. I think this finding nemo twist will add a modern twist on the classic concept at the park. Those pictures are great, and that is a great video Baloo. I like the lighting effects that they've put on the lake!

Aloha,

great to see the subs back in business! This looks so much better as what they did to the subs at the MK.

Thanks for the pics and all info here!

Cheers,
