Title: Tips for the Railroad
Post by: bp_serene on February 26, 2018, 11:36:46 AM
Hi all. I haven't managed to ride the railroad at all during my past two trips. This May I'm taking my Mum, and I'm determined to ride the whole circuit with her. Does anyone have any tips for the best time of day to ride, which station to start from, etc? Hoping not to need to queue for long. Thanks!

The train technically starts at Main Street and goes clockways around the park. As a result the most crowded station to get on at is Main Street, as its at the front of the park and people use it to go from Main Street to other lands, mainly Fantasyland. Not alot of people get off at Frontierland, so  while the queue at the station may be small, the train may be full or not have many seats left.
If you want to do a complete circuit the best station to get on at is Discoveryland. as its technically the second last stop. Alot of people will get off, people who wanted to go to Discoveryland from the other lands. but not that many people will ge on. Then when you get to Main Street the train will really clear out.

The previous poster is absolutely right - get on at Fantasyland (which often is quiet because people seem to forget it's there tucked away at the back!) or Discoveryland.

Do note, the Frontierland station is closed whilst the Chapparal Theatre works take place.
