Title: The Carpenters: "Mr. Postman"
Post by: experiment627 on May 30, 2006, 01:20:12 PM
Hey people,

well, I guess this fits into the "international" category:

following this link //http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4psChuj71-s&search=carpenters%20postman, you can watch the music video to the classic "Please Mr. Postman" by The Carpenters - which was shot at Disneyland, California, way back in 1974...  :D

Wow, what a blast from the past!  (though way before my time, lol)

It's amazing to see the Mine Train thru Nature's Wonderland in action, and also the classics like Dumbo and the Tea Cups.  Was Mickey always that small in those days, or did they make him like that especially for the video?  He's finally grown up quite a bit over the years, anyway.

As a music video, though, it's just really really odd.

Great video... what i find strange is that Prince John is the exact same costume as today!!! Glad the boss Mickey has changed since whenever that video was done!!!

There are a few costumes out there which are still the same as early as the beginning of Disneyland, like The Big Bad Wolf.
