Title: Refurbishment Tower of Terror 2018
Post by: angelonacloud on February 20, 2018, 08:21:05 AM
Hello everyone!

First things first, I just joined here, but I can call myself a DLP veteran with more than 15 visits on the counter  :P

Anyway, I read somewhere that the Tower of Terror will get refurbishment starting from 21th of May. They said they will put up scaffolding to work on the exterior. However, does it mean it will close completely, as in, not being able to ride the attraction? Or will they only work on the exterior?
This is important, as ToT is my #1 fav attraction and I've planned to go in the beginning of June. Also, I'm going with my BFF who will go for the first time (in forever ;) ) I really wanna take her on it, and we are willing to move our visit, just so we can ride ToT.

Tl;dr: (when) will ToT close for refurbishment, as I will have to move my plans if it's down in June?

Thank you for helping out this newbie!

From what I recall reading, the ToT won't close completely during most of its refurb as the work is all on the exterior, not the actual ride mechanism.

It's certainly not listed as being closed in June.

Thank you Claire! I certainly hope it will be that way, but maybe the planning is a bit early (I only know of a page that shows max. 3 months in advance)

Hi,

Disneyland Paris has said during the exterior refurb of the Tower of Terror the attraction will still remain operating during the works. As a previous poster said, the works is to the exterior of the building only and not the ride itself. So all being well you will be able to ride the attraction on your next trip.
