Hi guys!
I think I am ready to write a new report. This time about a trip that I thought would never happen. As I said in my previous report, traveling from Brazil to DLP is not cheap. Quite the contrary. It is pretty expensive. That is why I imagined a trip to this magical place would be a once in a life time experience. I was sure I would never step my foot there again and I was fine with this idea. However, after visiting DLP last year, when we got home, I was already dying to visit this place again, specially writing the report and then reading other people's reports and all the buzz about the 20th anniversary and Disney's Dreams. The idea of going back to DLP after just one year was insane, but a dreamed we would go back and my dream came true. Thankfully my partner Helio joined me in this dream and we spent 2012 planning a new trip. The dream ended up getting bigger and we decided to spend almost a month in Europe. As we were going to spend a lot with the airline tickets, we decided that it would be worth to spend more time, however on a tight budget. Actually the trip is still going on right now.
First we traveled from Natal, Brazil to Paris on December 28th and stayed there until January 10th. From Dec. 28th until Jan. 6th we stayed at the hotel Ibis, in Val d'Europe. It was the cheapest option for us taking in consideration the price and the location. It is only a few meters from the RER station, one stop away from DLP and convenient to visit Paris as well. From Jan. 6th up to Jan. 10th we stayed at the Cheyenne, as we got a good deal on Expedia. Following the advices that I had read here, we got dream annual passport and it was really great to do it. We got extra magic hour and discounts at the stores and restaurants. It was totally worthy it.
After that we flew to London, where we are now. On the 24th we go back to Paris by Eurostar for one more day at DLP and then fly back to Brazil on the 25th.
Well, this was only the introduction. I will write more about the details of the trip and the amazing time we have spent at DLP. There is also the nice feeling of knowing that we will be able to see it again on the 24th. Will it be the last time?

It's true that some dreams DO come true and if we want something bad enough we do what we can to make it happen.
I found that out myself last year when I decided to commit to take my son back to DLP in 2013 to celebrate his 21st Birthday. It's particularly special as he has enjoyed trips there since he was 4 and he happens to be the same age as Disneyland Paris too! It's symbolic and although i'm having to sacrifice alot to pay for it I knew I had to make the dream our reality!

It is exactly the way you said. We can make our dreams happen, but we have to sacrifice a lot in order to make it happen. But I think it is good this way. When we sacrifice in order to achieve something, when we get it, it is very special, right?
Talking about special, I believe celebrating your son's 21st Birthday at Disneyland Paris will be awesome. It is indeed very symbolic and I am sure you will have an amazing trip with him, even better than your dream.

In my early twenties one of my dreams came true when disney opened a park in Europe so August 1992 I went with my husband, my mum and dad and 2 little sisters :thumbs: while there I promised myself I would get to stay in the Disneyland Hotel!
I have managed to get both in 2009 and 2012 with my husband and daughter but not the pink hotel ;)
Well it was then decided we would do the Disneyland Hotel for our Silver Wedding March 2014 :D
But our daughter pointed out that she maybe in university by then and you couldn't do Disney without a child :-" (even if she now 18) Well with that in mind a change of plans we are going to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary and the start of our Silver year in the Disneyland Hotel!
So even though I've waited a long time for my dream it now coming a year earlier :D/

I can't even think about bank balance right now...lol. I will have to deal with it when I get home. Lol. Yeah, dreams have a price... So you are telling me two won't be enough, right? I was kinda suspecting it would happen...lol. Maybe the opening of Ratatouille could be an excuse... NO! NO! NO! I can't even consider this possibility!
We had considered the possibility of going to WDW this year instead, but the desire to visit Disneyland Paris again was much stronger. I think this forum has been one of the reasons I fell in love with DLP. I started visiting everyday and started caring about the resort,, its history and issues. It became a place that is far more special than just a holiday destination. Does it make sense?
I find myself nodding with approval at your last post Rafael. DLP is indeed more than just another 'destination', it's truly special.
However, maybe you need to have the Disney spirit within to feel that way about it. Not everyone that visits must get that feeling of course (I know, I know, it's difficult to imagine :? ) In that case I count myself as one of the lucky ones! =D

We are really enjoying London. It is an amazing city and the people are really nice and friendly. We loved visiting Kew Gardens. Such a great place to be, even in the winter. I just wish I could get us tickets to see Le Miserables. :( I tried, but it seems it is really hard. Well, we probably won't see the play, but we managed to watch the movie today at the BFI IMAX. Watching the movie in IMAX was great. I recommend!

Loved reading your last report, and seeing your fantastic photos. Like you, this forum (and the one on Tripadvisor) are responsible for keeping my Disney interest going between trips. I also would not like to imagine the money I have spent on my family's 11 previous trips! But hey some drink, some smoke, Disney is my only vice.

I agree that DLP helps a lot making trips really magical, but it seems to me what really matters is the way people experience it, or choose not to. I was surprised this time to see some people over there without a smile on their faces, more into their smartphones than the place they are at. I am not talking about a phone call or checking something, but people looking totally bored, playing games or on facebook. Being there for me feels so special that I can't picture myself spending any minute looking at my mobile. Therefore, as you are willing to have a great time and have a memorable trip, it will be memorable indeed! :)

Maybe instead of thinking about the money we spend on this trips, we could see them as investments in ourselves! What do you think? We spend so much time working and stuff, maybe we deserve to please our families and ourselves, right?

I think you summarize it very well. It is about having the Disney spirit within. You are right, some people don't get the chance to experience the feeling.

Yes your reply to my post saying of my 11 trips is very apt. My kids lives are counted in terms of Disney trips, eg remember when we went when you were 4 and your brother was 1 etc. I can hardly imagine our lives without the presence of Disneyland Paris in the background. A real investment in our family life, I would say :lol:

Our trip started on the evening of December 27th, when we traveled from Brazil first to Lisbon and then to Paris . It was a little tiring, because besides the 7 hour flight to Lisbon, we had to wait in Portugal for 8 hours before the flight to Paris. We arrived at Orly about 7pm on December 28th and then we managed to get the shuttle to Disneyland. As we were staying at Ibis Val d'Europe, we got off at the bus station and took the RER. We were tired and looking forward to arriving at the hotel, but just being there and seeing the lights of Disney Village for a few minutes already made me feel good and really happy. We were there again.
The train takes only 3 or 4 minutes to get to the Val d'Europe station (exit 2 if someone is planning to stay at Ibis) and the hotel is just a few meters from the station. I would say the hotel is pretty good for people who are traveling on a budget, especially because of its location.
When we got there, we just wanted to take a shower and sleep. However, even though I was very tired, the thought that I would be at Disneyland the next day kept me awake for a while.
As I had read Elaine saying here at the forum that people could have breakfast at the Disneyland Hotel even not being a guest, we decided that the first thing we would do at Disney would be having a late breakfast at Inventions. What can I say?

After the great breakfast at Inventions, we decided to go to the park. Following again great advice read here at the forum, we decided to buy Annual Passport Dream. It was simple and easy and the cast member at the Bureau Passeport Annuel was really friendly.

After getting our passports, we decided to go to Phantom Manor. During the whole trip, I think we did it more than 6 times.
It is a great attraction and I love the fact that the manor is located at Frontierland. I think the whole backstory is really clever and adds a lot to the experience. One thing that bothers me a little is that sometimes some cast members destroy the mood of the attraction behaving as if they were operating a carnival ride in a cheap fair. It seems that they don't care about the story that is being told and the perception of the attraction by a guest can be influenced by the way they behaved inside the manor. From the moment you enter its gates, you are being prepared to what will come later during the ride and it is part of the whole experience. If cast members don't buy the story and help telling it, how can a guest buy it? On the other hand, sometimes there are some great cast members that help create the mood and make it unforgettable. When you do it repeated times you can see the difference a good cast member can do to this attraction. The same thing for The Tower of Terror. Unfortunately there is another thing that was not that good about Phantom Manor: the sound. What is going on?

After Phantom Manor, we decided to take a cruise around the Rivers of the Far West. It is a nice opportunity to relax and contemplate the beauty of Frontierland.
We ended up going on the riverboat ride 3 times during the trip.

Later, we headed toward Fantasyland to try two rides we had missed last time: Casey Jr. and Le Pays des Contes de Fées. I think they are great for children. While in the queue, Helio told me he was getting a headache and we were also a bit tired because of the long trip the day before. We decided to save some energy and go back to the hotel after these two rides and return later for Dreams.

Love la pays des contes de fees, although to us it is always known as the "houseboat ride" as when we first went with my oldest aged 2 (he is now 11), that's what he called it. And it has stuck at that for this Disney family. That and Casey Jnr are two great rides for the kids, although I will never understand how sometimes Casey Jnr is a walk on and at others the queue is huge.
After a good rest, we came back to the park for dinner and Disney Dreams!
We tried going to Plaza Gardens (we didn't have reservations), but the queue was huge and we gave up. We ended up having a lasagna at Colonel Hathi's Pizza Outpost. It was our first time having a meal there I loved the theme. You can spend hours just checking all the great details. Amazing! Nothing much to say about the food. I had already read the food usually came cold, but it was not the case and it tasted good.
Dreams gave me goosebumps from the very beginning and made me cry. It is an amazing show, full of Disney magic. I watched it 5 times and each time it seems that I discovered a new detail and it was like seeing it for the first time. I had already watched videos on youtube and I knew it would be great, but watching in person is indescribable.

We had breakfast at Earl of Sandwich. I have read many people recommending breakfast there, but I thought it was just okay for me. I found it a little overrated. Even thought the place was almost empty, the service was incredibly slow. It took ages for the sandwiches to be ready. We decided not to have breakfast there again.

Wow, it looks so quiet in that first photo! I love the contrast of snow in some photos compared to the colours of Adventureland. There is sights there that I don't think i have ever seen, will have to be more aware when I go in March. :thumbs:

You would't believe how quiet it was when I took that first picture. It felt like we had the park only to ourselves. During the trip, we saw the park packed with people some days and really empty on others.
We got to see snow at DLP on January 24th. It is interesting how snow changes the feel of the lands, especially Frontierland and Adventureland. It was very interesting to experience that.
I spent a lot of time this trip just trying to soak up the atmosphere of the lands and see the details. However, even though I was trying to pay attention to everything, every time I walked through the lands again I discovered lots of new things. There are so many layers of details. I already wish I could go back there again...lol
Great pictures again! Every has own story, atmoshpere and have great angles, lights and contrasts... I see so many new of this place with this pictures! thank you and cant wait for next! :) ;)

We had a fantastic time indeed. I think I can't put into words how I felt being at Disneyland Paris again. I have been there only twice now, but I feel like I know this place for a long time and there is this connection that I really can't explain. What a magical place!

During our trip we managed to have 3 meals at Plaza Gardens. We ate there twice for lunch and once for dinner. The first two times we had to wait a little bit to get a table and the restaurant was really full. However, the restaurant was empty the last time we ate there. It was about 2.30 and there were only four other people inside. We loved the place and the meals we had there. It is beautiful and really cozy. The food is quite tasty and the options are good and for all tastes. There wasn't a single negative thing about the restaurant.

We really liked Plaza Gardens and the food was good the 3 times we ate there. I think there are good options for adults and kids. It pleases all tastes, I guess.
Something we did a couple of times during the trip and we really enjoyed was going for a drink at night at Redwood Bar, at Sequoia Lodge. What a cozy place! Sitting by the stone fireplace enjoying a nice drink could not be any better after a day at the park. We had pasta there one evening and it was also very good.

On Dec 30th, after we had lunch at Plaza Gardens, Helio went back to the hotel for a nap and I decided to go to the studios to see the parade. I think Stars 'n' Cars is good, but the best thing about it is to see the reaction the characters produce to the children's faces: HUGE SMILE. Well, I had a huge smile myself. Well, how can you not be happy watching a Disney parade, right?

Yeah, travelling all the way is neither easy nor cheap, however I find it totally worth it.
I think there is something really special about DLP that I can't explain. One thing that is easy to point out is the beauty of the Disneyland Park. It is a masterpiece!
On December 31th, we spent the morning and afternoon in Paris and the evening at Disneyland.
After returning from Paris about 4.00pm, we went to the hotel to rest a little bit before going to the park. We were planning to have dinner in the park and at midnight see the fireworks at Lake Disney, but we ended up changing the plans due to the rain and watched the fireworks at the park.
We had dinner at The Lucky Nugget. What a beautiful place! It was worth for the atmosphere and the beauty of the restaurant, but the food wasn't that good. When we left the restaurant rain was starting to pour and we went to Phantom Manor. Afterwards we went to Discoveryland for Star Tours. As rain started to get worse when we left the attraction, we decide to go to Main Street to get a hot drink and wait for the fireworks. The arcades were packed with strollers and angry parents. Cast members were shouting to people free the way, even though there wasn't much space left. We decided to find a quieter place and stayed in front of the Baby Care Centre near Plaza Garden. Our feet were completely wet, rain didn't seem to be stopping anytime soon and it was still 11:15. We still had to wait a lot for midnight. There were many parents with children around there and lots of strollers. Many children sleeping and some crying while parents were really stressed and by their faces they really were in a bad mood and they were not having a good time at all. I couldn't see anybody smiling that night. Cast members also looked very tired and in a bad mood. Actually, from where we were, we could see some people inside Plaza Gardens through the window and I think they were having fun. lol How I wished we were there at that time... lol
I have to say, I think I could hear Helio's thoughts. I am sure he wished to be at the hotel instead of having to wait for fireworks in a very small space full of strollers and the feet in a puddle of water. I confess I was also questioning if that was worth it.
I don't think it was. :| Maybe we were just tired and wanting something else, but it didn't feel magical or special. We just wanted it to be over as soon as possible to go back to the hotel. Again, by the look of lots of people, that is what they wanted to. There was another presentation of Dreams after the fireworks. I love the show but even Dreams couldn't make us stay there that night. We watched it for a couple of minutes and left. :|
Now, back home and already missing DLP a lot, when I think that I left the park in the middle of Dreams I feel like killing myself. :(

Before I forget to mention it.: You and your friend sat at the very same spot in front of the fire place in Sequoia Lodge as a friend of me and myself were sitting (only about ten years ago) when we last stayed at this hotel ! :D I don't have a picture of it, but it's the same corner and view of the bar.

Yes, the Sequoia Lodge really is a beautiful hotel. We stayed there three times now and I will definitvely try to stay there the next time we visit. Especially since they have refurbished the rooms. :bambi:

Wow Rafael your photos are amazing...we were looking forward to your trip this year almost as much as you i think! Seeing your trip photos last year made us determined to look for the hidden peaceful disney you seem to capture so perfectly when we visited last march and again in early Jan this year. It's pretty clear Rafael that you love Fantasyland as much as I do =D> Of all the lands it's the one that I really love to explore, all the colours and intricate designs, just beautiful. 8)

Brilliant photos I agree fantasyland is amazing! Is lovely to know there are there's others with my passion :) I've lost count how many times we have been! Stayed on every on site Disney hotel except the Disneyland hotel wich we did 18-22nd march wonderful in so many ways... But I will say the best thing was sitting out our little terrace garden and hearing the music and soaking up the atmosphere looking at the gates as people enter. Last thing at night was also amazing we heard Disney dreams after hours they were rehearsing the new addition of the lion king (wich we never saw but heard!)
Cannot wait too go back but think it'll be the sequioa lodge next visit

Yes, I do love Fantasyland. Amazing details galore and a great atmosphere. I thought I would feel a little embarrassed going on the rides too, especially when you are in the queue around many families with small children. However, it hasn't prevented me from riding them. lol I have to tell you. I haven't regretted! No strange looks at all! I think people don't even pay attention to adults riding without kids. I have had tons of fun, especially at the dark rides. There was a day last trip the park my empty and the cast members were so nice that they let me ride some of them over and ver again without leaving the seat. I think I rode Snow White 3 times and Peter Pan 3 or 4 as well. Tea cups are also a lot of fun. I think the only ones I haven't been to are Dumbo and the Carrousel.
I think you should give the rides a chance.
I also like a lot this picture you mentioned. I remember the way I felt when I took it. It really felt like I had been transported somewhere else. It is interesting the way simple details can be so magical and achieve wonders. I really like the little corners of the park, the way they help suggesting a story and a mood.

I agree with you about soaking up the atmosphere. Rides are great and fun, but the magic really happens when you stop and take your time to be fully immersed in that environment. I remember leaving the park for the last time in january after watching Dreams. I was leaving the park and after passing under the train station I noticed a family doing exactly what you described in your comment. They were in their terrace just watching the people leaving the park. The two little girls were dressed like princesses and they were waving goodbye to the people approaching the turnstiles. That family seemed so happy just being there and waving goody-bye. That simple action was full of good energy and happy thoughts. I could feel happiness in the air.
Soooo excited. Counting sleeps till we leave tommorow after school for a few days in the lakes to celebrate Easter. Will be calmer when we get a little further south away from the snow and ice where we are. Hope it will be a little warmer in disney...I'm sure a disney hug from Mickey will do the job of warming us through! Sweet dreams xxxx

So true rafael! The rides definitely aren't everything although I enjoy them and I must say have never tired of them, I just love being there! It was quite an extraordinary feeling being so close to the park entrance on our last visit even though we weren't in the park it was just incredible watching people come and go smiling and happy I guess that's what makes Disneyland Paris what it is really? The families, and of course us fans!!
So many times people have said "your crazy, don't you get bored" or "it isn't a proper holiday" and I respond every trip is different and to me forgetting the worlds the harsh world we live in is my kind of holiday. Wich I'm sure myself and many others share that same feeling. My son is disabled, life's not easy but knowing that twice a year we have fun and forget the bad stuff I don't know, just makes life that bit easier.
And to add dreams was amazing! I always have a few tears at the tangled part (happy ones) and I have never photographed like you did although I pay attention to detail in the same way I never photograph it? You definatley have given me food for thought! So when is your next trip rafael?
P.s slimy yet satisfying have a great Easter Disney trip! (I'm still not sure what I am doing on this forum!?)

I loved this: "forgetting the harsh world we live in is my kind of holiday". This is amazing. I think you put into words the way I feel about Disney and I think it also explains why I like visiting this forum. I think for me it is a way to forget for some time the bad stuff, as you said. Here somehow i feel protected from the world, free of the things that hurt me and get me down.
Isn't it great that you found a place where you and your son can leave everything behind and have fun? People should cherish that, instead of asking if you don't get bored. If they knew what they are missing... If you have the chance to go often, don't miss the opportunities because people don't get it. Go and enjoy! You and your son deserve that. :)
Talking about pictures, I have taken so many pictures this last time. I think I have done that in order to save those special moments in my mind. I really don't know when I will be able to be at Disneyland Paris again, so the pictures help me get there again, you know? I think if I lived closer and knew that I could experience that atmosphere often, most of the time I would not even take a camera with me. I think I wouldn't take a single picture. I would just try to be there. Maybe I would spend an afternoon at Fantasia Garden just watching people go by. I would spend a morning at the hub just staring at the castle. I would sit by the river just listening to the sound of Big Thunder Mountain. There are so many different things I wish I could do at DLP that a year there would not be enough. I agree when you say that every trip is different. I would add that every day at DLP is different. The sky is different, the people are different, the mood is different. Only one thing is always the same. That awesome feeling that everything is going to be alright.

I agree with you. The details make Disneyland Paris the special place it is.
When I told some people we were returning to Paris and DLP after just been there the holiday before they said we were crazy too. I don't care though. What matters to me is the way we feel about it and the great moments we have had there.
I don't need to do all the rides as well. I don't really like the idea of running from one queue to another. I don't even like to use fastpass all the time, because I think it gives me somehow an anxiety and the need to control the time. The last thing I want in my holiday is to control the time in order to have fun.
I am like you. I love strolling through the park. I am completely happy doing that. The attractions work for me like a bonus, not my main goal when I think of my day at the park. If I ride something, great. If not, it is already fine.
It is great to hear you have infected some colleagues with the Disney virus. lol. :thumbs:

One thing that was remarkable at Discoveryland was a cast member at Star Tours. He was so funny and made everybody laugh before the ride started. We tried to ride it some other times but he was never there again and the other cast members weren't great like him. I saw him walking through Discoveryland on the last day and he was playing and talking to several children along the way. Amazing castmember. I wish I could remember his name.

Sorry havnt been on for long! Could really do with a Disney fix right now.. My poor little puppy passed away Saturday morning rushed her to the vets and it was all to late!
So definitely could do with going to that "special" place and forgetting the heartache I have felt over the last few days!
Anyway I agree about looking through photos and somehow, your back there! We are very fortunate that we're only a 2 hour Eurostar trian journey away from Disney... So we go 2-3 times a year. I love counting down the weeks/days to the next trip. Booking one in the very hear future.
Until then I will continue to browse the forum reading delightful comments and trip reports by all the Disney DLP fans! And of course enjoy the wonderful photos ou upload! Many thanks :)

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your puppy. Our dog has passed away recently and I know how painful it is. i am here for you if you need anything. I know I can't do much, but if you need somebody to talk to or just listen, you can count on me.

I was thinking about this idea of counting the days for the trip the other day. It was so good doing that last year. I loved the feeling of knowing that the trip was coming. The anticipation is also part of the fun.

Yeah, I agree with you, it feels like loosing a part of you. Mine was already old. He was 15, and by the end of his life, he was already blind and deaf.
Well, I don't know when the next trip will be... :cry: I guess it might take me a couple of years to see DLP again.

The manager from my local Disney store once said to me "I couldn't live in a world without Disney" and you know I don't think many of us would want too! A little bit of magic never hurt anyone.
It also must cost you a lot more coming all the way from brazil aswel but I guess when you do next get to Disneyland it will be worth the wait! How long did you stop for on your last trip?

Yes, you are right. Going all the way from Brazil to France does cost quite a lot. I know it is worth it, but too expensive. We have been to Europe in our 3 last holidays, the first two times for less than 2 weeks, one year only
in London and the other in Paris and DLP, but this last time we decided to stay longer, so we spent a month visiting Paris, DLP and London again. We love these places! :)
It takes some planning and a lot of saving, so we think we shouldn't travel abroad next holiday in order to save some money. We can only take our holiday together in January, so I think a trip like this will only be possible in 2 years. Next January is out of question. We think it is too soon. People already think we are crazy for visiting the same places again having been there just the year before! lol.
I would also like to visit the other Disney Resorts worldwide, so who knows. Maybe we will visit Tokyo and Hong Kong before being back at DLP. However, DLP has a special place in my heart and going back there would be amazing. It would be a dream! :)

I think we love Paris and London because they are so different from what we experience where we live. We live in Natal, in the northeast of Brazil. It has a tropical climate, with warm to hot temperatures all throughout the year and it is famous for its natural beauty.
There is no such thing as winter here... It is always sunny and it drives me crazy! lol Therefore, we love the weather in Europe, specially in the winter, and all the history and architecture. We love visiting all the numerous museums, galleries, and all the amazing historic sites.
And for me, Disneyland being near Paris is fantastic. Visiting these two places in one trip is awesome. I wish I were there today. I hope you are right and my next trip comes sooner than I think. :)

Yes, we stayed at Cheyenne for 4 nights (from January 6th till January 10th) and then, after visiting London, one one more night (January 24th). We wanted to see DLP one more time before coming back to Brazil, so instead of flying home from London, we did it from Paris on January 25th. Before that, when we got there, we stayed from December 28th till january 6th at Ibis Val d'europe. It was much cheaper and very convenient to visit Paris and DLP for being a few meters from the train station. We couldn't afford spending so many nights at a Disney hotel. We followed the advice that I had read here of getting annual passports. It was great because some days during our stay at Ibis we went to Paris in the morning for a museum or something and then return straight to DLP. It was great because we had the chance to visit the park for more than 10 days. The days at Cheyenne were all dedicated to DLP though. We didn't leave the resort.

The beaches in Natal look stunning. After having the coldest March in over 50 years here in Ireland we are craving the sun. Even in our summer you can never be sure, last year it wasn't that warm and rained a lot. Oh, to be guaranteed even a couple of weeks sunshine in ones home country would be amazing! Mind you the whole of Irland would grind to anhalt, so desperate would we be to get out and enjoy it!

OMG, the coldest March in 50 years! i cant even imagine what it is like! it must be freezing! Here on the other hand, it is so hot right now. I think it is the warmest March in 50 years! Lol. Can we blame global warming for that?
Yes, the beaches are beautiful here indeed, but when you live close to it, you kinda get used and take it for granted. I love when people come over because I have the chance to show them around and it seems that I start seeing the beauty again. Does it make sense? If you feel like coming here, drop me a line. You and you family would be more than welcome. My apartment is not very big, but we have an extra room always ready, since my family is actually from Sao Paulo and I need a place for them to stay when they come here.
Natal is one the host cities for the World Cup next year and the stadium they are building is near my apartment. I don't know if you are interested in the event, but I think it will be a great party and the atmosphere in the city will be amazing. Again, you are more than welcome to come anytime! :)

And personally I think the Cheyenne is the best themed hotel out of them all and I have stayed in all on site Disney hotels now! But it needs a refurb most definatley we stayed 2 years ago I think last time and our room was looking so tired and a bit run down, few things were broken too. I think they we in process of refurbishing the hotels as they have done the Santa fe and sequioa lodge. So it will be nice if they did Cheyenne as it truly is a great theme and has a magnificent feel to it I think, just needs sum TLC :)

I agree about Cheyenne's theme. It is a great concept and it was executed very well. I also think it needs a refurb. There wasn't anything broken in our room, but it was a bit run down. I really enjoyed staying there, but we would really love to try Sequoia next time.

Thank you very much! I am glad you like the photos! :) Actually my camera isn't that good, but I do enjoy taking pictures. I guess I try to capture the things that draw my attention and that I want to remember later. At DLP it means almost everything! lol. I say almost because I don't feel like taking many photos at the studios. Even though we spent many days at DLP, very little time was spent there. I hope the park gets the same amount of investiment DCA has received lately. I think it needs an extreme makeover, not just new rides.

Getting a good deal is always nice. :) have you stayed at Newport Bay before?
We stayed there 3 times and always liked it. It is a little bit big, but I like the Newport-style. It always reminds me of the mansions in Newport, USA. It's 15 years since I visited Newport with two friends but I still remember our tour of some of the beautiful old mansions in Newport.

As you can see rafael I have had a play around and managed some photos! Thankyou for your help finally no what to do lol. I have so many of my recent trip but the laptop has crashed and have no way of getting the images from my camera otherwise! Will do it soon possibly of somebody else's laptop lol :)

One of the places I like the most at DLP is Fantasia Gardens. I love the atmosphere, the sound of the fountain and the beauty of the garden. I really enjoy watching the people passing by and staring at the beautiful Disneyland Hotel. I wish I were there now...
The day I took this picture was January 24th. The fountain was not working, but the snow made the place look magical.

and she and her friend loved it! They even got an Annual Passport already and planning a second short trip

I am trying to convince a friend of mine that only goes to Orlando to give DLP a chance. I am sure he would love it as well. I think every Disney fan should visit Disneyland Paris at least one. Well, I think if you are a Disney fan, you will always want to visit DLP over and over again. I am dying to go back again. Maybe next year...

I think I know what you mean. Back Lot seems a bit un-themed, a kind of motley collection of buildings. Though I do like the attractions. I would love to have something like Carsland there (only know it from pictures, but it looks amazing)

I like the Backlot attractions as well, but I wish they had tried harder to make the area more interesting. It really doesn't work for me the way it is now. It doesn't look inspiring.
BlackPearl, Ratatouille is the reason I have been considering lately the possibility of going to DLP again next year. I don't think I should, but I can't wait to see that.

I like this picture too :) The day we took it Pirates was almost a walk on. Therefore we took our time to see all the details and enjoy the atmosphere of extensive queue. As we only saw people when we were approaching the loading area, we were completely immersed in that word before boarding. The queue does a tremendous job building the anticipation for the ride. It seems to me, no matter how many times you have already ridden it, you always get an amazing feeling when you are about to go on that adventure again.

But then by reading your thoughts and seeing your pictures I think it was worth every penny! The problem with Disneyland is that it's so enjoyable its just too hard to stay away. We were very lucky to live in Brunie for three years because of my husbands job, and, whilst it was a wonderful experience, I know what you mean about seasons. I think people thought we were mad when we moved back to the UK, standing out in the cold rain, with our arms wide open! And Disneyland Paris seemed such a long way away.

When we were in London in January, there were a couple of days that snowed a lot. I know that it causes chaos on rail, roads and everything :( , but for us it was a wonderful new experience :)
We had an amazing riverside walk in the snow from Richmond to Kew Gardens that we will never forget. It was very surreal for us, as we live in a place with sunny days almost all year long.

We lived in Germany too so we find it frustrating the UK just comes to a stop for snow! Germany keeps on going. But you cant beat a snow day :)
We lived in Kuala Belait near the Malasian border. An hours drive to Bandar or a border crossing and half hour drive to Miri. :)

I think I have seen pictures of a beautiful mosque in Kuala Belait that looked like the Taj Mahal. Do you know what I am talking about? :)
Yes I do! It is beautiful! And very near where we used to live :)
And it has a very different roundabout near it too!
I have been looking through our old photos from eight years ago and I have none that do either of them justice :( And I need to open a photbucket account to upload photos ... Will post if I can manage

If you do go to Kuala Belait then I would recomment trying the Kuala Belait boat club for eating. AMAZING food :) (If its still there-it was eight years ago since we left!)

Thanks for the suggestions! I think my sister is going to end up visiting Kuala Belait before me. She has been living in Australia and she has managed to travel quite a lot. She has just come back from Malaysia and Thailand. She loved the trip. She has told me about her plans to visit Kuala Belait. I will tell her about the boat club. :)
Cool! There were some lovely restaurants around Kuala Belait and the food was so cheap! *Sigh!* Ah the memories!
(My pictures were really not of great quality (a very early digital camera) so I would have been embarrassed to post! So I am glad you could find photos of the roundabout :)
