Title: Activating "Old style" Annual Passes
Post by: A&S&O on June 12, 2017, 09:45:09 AM
Just before the new APs came in there was a flurry of people buying the old APs (Dream, Fantasy) with a view to activating them after the new style came in.

Has anyone activated one of the old types lately - did they have any problems?

We have Dream passes that we'll be activating in August, we wondered if it was a straightforward process.

I can't say for certain but since the Supertrips type AP vouchers are bought direct from DLP and are valid for exchange for 6 months from date of purchase, they would have to still be valid.

Certainly the process is immensely straightforward - just scan your voucher at the gate to get into the park, then later go to Passport Office and either go straight to the desk or use one of the machines (we did the latter and it only took a couple of minutes, plus we were able to skip the queue of people buying from scratch (which was LOOOONG...!).

I just wondered whether there was a problem issuing the old style passes - do they try to get you to have new style.

We've never seen anyone using the machines, they've always been out of order.
