Title: Tron in the works for Paris?
Post by: *TIMMIE* on November 12, 2017, 03:44:00 PM
Several independent sources told Looopings a copy of Tron is in planning for Paris. There would be contact between Vekoma and DLP.

I've read further speculation that this might be rethemed to Marvel and destined for the Studios which makes a lot of sense considering the Tron coaster doesn't seem to fit at all in Discoveryland - it would have to at least be Star Wars themed and they'd have to find room for it somehow!

That suits the earlier rumours about a Marvel coaster with an outdoor part.

I'm no marvel fan, but I do like to see that they are investing money again in the studios. Makes me dream about more good news coming our way. Let's hope that they keep investing money in both of our beloved parks.

Not sure if DLP needs another launch coaster. But it's hard not to get excited over new rides in a park that is in desperate need to expand it's ride capacity. As this is leaked info, and not the awaited masterplan announced by Disney. My hopes are that more rides are to be officially announced soon (next year).

If this was only a few years ago, I'd probbably say "it'd be nice, but...". However now that Burbank has the reigns, I'm more inclined to think it could happen.

In other words, instead of a 0-25% chance, I think it's more like 50%.

And if it is in the Studios, then that's for the better. I'd be concerned a Tron mini-land would just add to the haphazard theme of the park. At least a Captain American Coaster/mini-land would have a slightly better chance of fitting in - especially in the Backlot area.

I'd be happy with that 😊

I believe this may be the long rumoured Spider-Man Coaster.

First I've heard of a a Spiderman Coaster. I would have thought that RnRc would have been better suited to Spidey.
