Went to the Studios today - and that park has changed so much with the opening of Hollywood "Boulevard".

I didn't spend too much time there, though. Weather was really nasty all day long... But they had "All the Way" as background music - so due to that, this area now has to be one of my top three spots in the whole resort.

It looks really good, but I think this is my favorite part of it:

This is that kind of part where you know there are always new details to discover! Like in the Disneyland Park

Beautiful window! Reminds me of Liberty Arcade... I can't believe I can now say that about something in Walt Disney Studios.

Something that's hurting my brain from the photos - it looks like go down a few steps to this area behind the large planter, and also into the La Terrasse area... so what's going on there? Did they dig downwards in the La Terrasse courtyard, or does the ground slope upwards towards those steps, to give the illusion?  It's fantastic for the Studios...

Experiment - I have to admit I didn't know "All the Way", but as a Sinatra song from the '50s the loop must be new for WDS?! It sounds lovely on YouTube... 8)

What a magical picture!!! It has indeed that DLP kinda of quality, just like the arcades. Put that Frank Sinatra music under it and men....can sit there all day!

Oh yeah, I never even thought why there were travel related things in the window! But errr... Butlin Boy, I doubt the Imagineers would make a mistake like that when they spend months planning these things.

I guess Deluxe Talent & Deluxe Travel are just two parts of the same company. A shop window for a talent agency wouldn't be as much fun. Take a look at the first destination of the travel company:

(Glendale, Imagineering's HQ, for those that don't know) Just awesome, classic, Disney detail. The windows of Franklin Department Store aren't that exciting though.

Did you notice they've put the old tips board in front of the new one? From pictures, it looks like the new one is electronic, the attractions are spaced out in threes like they are in DLP:

Does anyone have any idea of the budget behind the Boulevard?

It just seems to me that it would be a fraction of a new attraction, and yet adds as much to the park as a new attraction. Just imagine how the whole area will look when the placemaking is finished in the proposed theatre district!

It gives the park a totaly different feel. Just think back to this time last year, open plan cold concrete, then the heavy theming of Cars and Raidator Springs, the kentic energy added by Crush, and now this....

Way to go Imagineering
