Hey everyone,

I'm going to do an interview with Imagineer/Show Writer Laurent Cayuela about Hollywood Boulevard and the Tower of Terror.
If you have questions I may forward to him, feel free to send me a Private Message!
Cheers

I'm really impressed by the details of the Hollywood Boulevard. Isn't this what we've dreamed of the past 5 years? I can't wait for an expansion once the Studio Tram Tour station will be moved. In the meantime I hope they won't forget the white stripes on the road, that would add some realism. Thats more of a worry to me then some curbs actually. I also hope that they will find a way to dress up the backside of the La Terrasse structure. Its quite ugly to be honest.

Did I mention that I adore the billboard?! It look so Disney-MGM Studios-ish. Maybe we can expect some more? A nice Silly Symphonies billboard near Art of Disney Animation and the Franklin Department Store facade to act like a transition? Or an advertisement for the Hollywood Tower Hotel, or a Coca Cola one? Maybe an aviator themed "Soarin' into the Future" billboard to give a clue to the fans like the HTH logo did on La Terrasse? Endless possibilties here.

Yes it´s really was a fast creation of the Boulevard. Do somebody know when it def. will open?

Oh yes, I almost forgot! Maybe this is why the middle of the street looks so strange on photos we've seen? (Wider than it is long) Raised pavements aren't bothering me too much since I noticed they're also flat around the Tower, at least it's consistent. I think Tokyo's also has flat pavements, only DCA's are raised. Must be a new Imagineering thing.

And that's putting it kindly... It looks like the kind of place you could be mugged, beaten and stabbed - right at the heart of a Disney park. But actually, I think that makes it wonderful. (stay with me here.. ) It really looks like the "dark side of Hollywood" they've been too scared to show at the other parks, perfect place for a run-down hotel.

The billboard is truly gorgeous, one of the best exterior details at the Studios, and I hear what you say Maarten about the MGM-Studios-ish-ness. Strangely (and I'm not trying to steal ideas here), I also thought about using the old Walt Disney Cartoons billboard on the roof of AODA to act like a blending between the two. They've been great a copying all these buildings right out of Hollywood, but this little gem is just waiting in their own archives...

The quality of finish on this is top-notch. So many details... did you notice the fire hydrant next to La Terrasse? The phone booth to the side of Los Feliz Hotel?  And the new tips board! Not that giant metallic one moved, but a gorgeous 1950s design, really sets the time of the place (literally! ). Can't imagine what it looks like at nighttime...

Do we have a name for the Off the Page building yet?

I´m also ok at the moment with the area behind la terrasse. It could be a part of the hotel gardens one day and after some years they built a street through it. Not the best place but it´s the entrance to the former hollywood tower hotel.  8)

Don´t know the name of the of-the-page building. I´ve reading something about it but didn´t know where and what in fact

It all looks so amazingly brilliant. My only concern is that the Hollywood Hills don't seem to be lit up, I guess they're still working on that bit :)

Japper

Yes , a lot of lights aren't working yet!

But the hills will light up because there are spots on the back of the 2d buildings.
