Just found out TLM 3 will be released this summer on dvd...  :roll:

The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning is an upcoming 2008 Disney animated feature film, a direct-to-video prequel to The Little Mermaid. In this movie, Jodi Benson reprises her role as Ariel, in a story that is set around a year before the events in the original film. It is expected to be released to DVD on August 26, 2008. The movie features the appearance of Queen Athena, Ariel's mother.

Hmm I had throught Disney were going to put a stop to the cheap direct to DVD's movies, I guess it had one or two cans left to release. This latest Movie may explain what happen to Ariel's Mother, who is not featured in the Little Mermaid Movie.
