Maybe they will.  When they're going to repaint the Animagique building, they'll have scaffolding up anyway, so it wouldn't be that hard to replace one number?

Here are the official press releases for Crush and Cars:

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Feel the rush with Nemo and Crush.

Hang loose with Nemo and Squirt on the new rip-roaring ride, Crush's Coaster – opening June 2007. Totally inspired by Disney's presentation of Pixar's Finding Nemo, this is one of two new major attractions opening in celebration of the 15th anniversary of Disneyland Resort® Paris.

Get ready to plunge into the underwater world of Nemo and Squirt. A world full of adventure, fun and hidden "dangers"... oh yes, and a few thousand fish.

Here, you'll "sea" life a little differently as you twist and turn over colourful coral reefs with Squirt, Nemo and friends. But don't close your eyes... or you'll miss the fun as you dive straight down into the inky darkness of the deep to explore a sunken submarine nestling in an underwater minefield. Watch out - you'll have to keep your eyes peeled to avoid coming face-to-face with Bruce, the vegetarian shark and his snapping mates. But what's there to worry about? Just remember fish are friends, not food. But hang on, you're not fish, are you?

Then, if you thought escaping the sharks was a white-knuckle ride, prepare yourself for the rush: spinning and twisting with along the powerful Eastern Australian Current, where even the coolest dudes have to screeeeeeeeam! So hang ten (and hang on) for the ride of your life!

You've seen the movie, now take it for a spin.

Hit the road with Lightning McQueen and friends on the new piston-pumping ride Cars: Race Rally – opening June 2007. Inspired by Disney's presentation of Pixar's Cars, this is just one of two brilliant new attractions opening in celebration of the 15th anniversary of Disneyland Resort® Paris.

Welcome to Radiator Springs, a sleepy, one-horse-power town that's about to be woken up. So fuel-up for fun and get in gear to join this engine-roaring rally on the dusty desert track of Route 66 - you just know it's going to be a gas!

Rest assured though there's no need for pre-race nerves, as Lightning McQueen will be there to give you all the best driving tips. With more trophies and sponsors than you can shake a loose exhaust pipe at, this road champ will get you and your family revving into action in no time. So will Mater, a good ol' trusty tow-truck with a big heart and the quickest tow cable in Carburetor County. Buckle-up!

And, once you've discovered the hotshot-racing driver in you, it'll be time to take that pole-position and put everything you've learnt into practice. So take a mighty fine grip of the wheel and get ready for a spin to take the chequered flag. There's vrrrrrrooom for everyone.

So... will "Crush's Turtle Twister" really be named "Crush's Coaster"?  :?

Edit: Some great photos of the latest Toon construction here, btw.

QuoteCrush's Coaster

What are they thinking changing the name to this, Turtle Twister is so much better than just Crush's Coaster. This name sounds so much more boring than Turtle Twister! :(

Try saying "Crush's Turtle Twister" in a French accent though... it's quite hard...  :?

Crush's Coaster isn't much easier though, and ruins the theme of the attraction.  They seem to be forgetting the important dark ride section at the start of the ride!  "Crush's Coaster" is like replacing "it's a small world" with "it's a long boat ride past singing dolls", or "Big Thunder Mountain" with "Big Thunder Roller Coaster".

*screams* IT'S NOT A ROLLER COASTER IT'S A MOVIE SET!!!

I just got an idea for the Imagineering board.  Think of a new name for Crush's Coaster.

The track in the dark ride section is interesting... There's nothing in place yet to actually move the turtles through the scenes, so I wonder how that's going to be done?  I doubt it'll be done with gravity, since it's not reliable enough (the track doesn't look angled enough and you can't control the speed), so they must still have more stuff to add in to that track there.

You can really tell how massive the attraction is, when you consider that that hole in the far wall in the distance (the future entrance into the boarding area) is around 10ft tall, and the track is wide enough to have two people side by side...  :o

The steel framework of the coaster building is now complete and the concrete front building has come on massively.  You can really picture how the attraction will look when it's done now and how it'll fit into the general area.

This panoramic photo is particularly good - you can see the work they've started doing in front of Flying Carpets, and also how much that attraction has been cut off from the rest of the land by the works!  They've only dug up the tarmac flooring at the moment, nothing else done yet.  Hopefully they'll get it done quickly so that the courtyard can handle the big Summer crowds.  Oh, and so that we've got something to look at, of course.

Any thoughts on all this? Let's get the Toon Studios topic going again!

Ah that's what the digger was doing digging up tarmack lol, now if only the guy in it would have stopped drilling quicker really it was funny standing there today and couldn't hear the announcement saying Cinema Parade will begin in just 5 minutes lol, kinda takes the magic away from the area music.  Still though it does look like it's going to be nice when it's finished.

New at Europa Park in 2007.... an underwater-themed dark ride!

Interesting choice of attraction there... hopefully they aren't trying to copy Turtle Twister, it seems like a very big coincidence.

OK I'm sorry but Europa has no need for another water themed ride they already have two, argh hate it when parks find out what Disney are doing and try to create a cheaper version of the same style of ride, seems very much like a coincidence though.  Hopefully it will be completely different :) .
