^ They've just announced a much needed 2 billion euro revamp of the worst Disney park worldwide and you want MORE surprises? Calm down tiger :P

Yes. I know it sounds ungrateful (not sure if we need to be grateful for a company fixing something that was obviously broken for years). But the castle park hasn't received a new addition since 1995 (Space Mountain). Only updates not adding to capacity. I stand by my remark that it will feel outdated next to the obviously amazing studio's. The normal visitor doesn't share the same sense of nostalgia like us fans have  ;)

And yes. I'm very excited about whats happening to the studios. Especially the addition of a proper lake. Which will completely change the feel of the park.

^I see your point. Makes me think that Frozenland should have been added to Parc Disneyland.

The Main Park is absolutely amazing as it is. It's a great experience and is still getting refurbs (new PM, new theatre). It'll be great to see new things added in the future but it's not essential.

According to more info things will start opening from 2020 and building will being this year (although the 2020 opening is likely the refurb HNY as Marvel, lands etc won't open until after that).

And the building this year also sounds fancier than it is haha!
CineMagique Theatre will open this year with the Marvel show, so that's already one thing.
And the thing that they will begin with, is the retheming of Rock 'n Rollercoaster to an Iron Man theme.
They're going to start this year, and the simple retheme is opening next year Summer.
It takes them a year to just retheme a current attraction.
The actual building of proper Marvel Land will take a few years.

Still can't believe this amazing news, a couple of days later and it still hasn't sunk in. This is beyond what I ever hoped would happen for the park. I've been to Tokyo DisneySea, which blew my mind, and it now feels like Paris could have an incredible park to rival it!! Best of all, there should be so many unique attractions and imagineering features. We can all  be patient and wait as long as it takes for this awesomeness to come about....

I'm intrigued about that large amount of green space (which looks like it's where Reign of Fire currently is. Certainly looks like an expansion pad. It can't be very big in reality, so I doubt it'd be another land, but it certainly could host another attraction.

Anyone know if Restaurant des Stars/Blockbuster Cafe is going? It'd make sense to use that for more Marvel attractions.

Downside is that they'd loose a food service location... which makes me wonder if they plan to add some eateries to that green expansion pad.

Great news  :) the concept art looks incredible. I'm not a BIG fan of Marvel, Star Wars or Frozen BUT I can definitely see. Why these 3 have been picked and it's a smart move from Disney, it's definitely going to bring in a wider audience, new visitors and ones that haven't been for some time.

Like many of us here I'm a big fan I love WDS but the tram tour needed to go or be completely overhauled although my son loves it and it is wheelchair accessible!

One of my thoughts was I wonder if the wait times for rides such as Crushs coaster will continue to have long waits once all the new attractions open? It gets incredibly busy around that area! I can't wait to see what's in store.

Also with the Paramount studios opening in the UK in a few years from now I think this is a smart move. I don't know how many people have said to me "you won't bother with Disneyland Paris when that's open"  >:( so annoying no park will ever stop me visiting dlp I have been for 20 years of my life now and it's charm and beauty and cast members always keep me coming back.

It's brilliant news it really is

Tbh as things stand it doesn't seem like that will happen now.

Oh I wouldn't worry about that. If there is one thing that the WDC is good at. It's getting people to spend their money. I'm pretty sure the focus of the studios will be much more on food and merch  ;D

Agreed. And even if it was, this plan for WDS 2.0 is really going to take the wind out of their sails.

Haha yeah, very true.

I don't know what eateries they could offer for Marvel land though. Delicacies from Wakanda and Sokovia? ;)

Even if it does happen which won't be before the new WDS is done it isn't even paramount anymore as they announced a few months ago they were no longer going to be part of the park
