Back ground
Booked mon-thurs with free half board.  as party of six find Davy crokket ranch is best value but means a long drive and decided to book Davy crokket ranch through. Expedia for room only Sunday night.

Sunday
Set off.from sunny south Yorkshire at 8.00 am.  Made good time down the a1 so decided to stay off at McDonald's just past Ashford for drive through and dinner before we checked in for the train. 

Got to euro tunnel at.scheduked time of 12.00.  Going through customs was a breeze and made it in time for 12.29 train.  quiet journey on the train and quick to get off being only the second car on the upper deck

Straight off the train and onto motorway and made steady time and only hit a bit if traffic about 20k outside of Disney. 

Got to Davy crokket ranch for 5.30 and left wife and kids in car to check in.  It was planned for tonight to be room only, but then keep same cabin for our direct booking with Disney to run mon to Thursday.

Once at reception they said they had nothing in system for Expedia booking for tonight and when asked what should so he said to call then directly as they hadn't been sent anything.   called.expedia who tried to force Disney to let us stay at Davy crokket ranch despite them already saying it's fully booked. 

Cut a long story short Expedia then changed booking to marriot holiday village.  Kids were disappointed as plan was to go swimming and have tea early night ready for Disney so gutted no swimming

Got to the resort looked had some comfort that at least looks a nice place.  Then went to check in and was very pleasantly surprised, in fact when I saw a family sit down to eat in the restaurant and the waiter put a napkin over the child's knee and push chair in thought what have they done sending us here!! Do they realise the mistake!!!

Checked in and was given the resort map and room details.  Entered room and kids were.amazed - it's like a little terraced house but a high spec amd is gorgeous - can tell it's 4*!!

Also realised it has a swimming pool on site so went swimming then had tea and now kids settled in bed.  Bags all packed ready for morning and early magic hour's, kids cloths picked for tomorrow and lined up ready!!

Can't wait for tomorrow as got surprise meal for wife bday at Cafe Mickley with bday cake. 

And will try to report on first day in the parks tomorrow but may not have wi fi at Davy crokket ranch so may have to wait until home on Thursday/Friday

Sounds like you made the most of your re-direction to Marriot Village, but bad of Expedia!!!

How awful to be let down by expedia like that, though it may of been out of their hands if Disney withdrew their room allocation, but you'd think in this day and age they could have for warned you in advance.

Glad that things worked out in your re arranged accommodation, and it doesn't sound like to will spoil your stay.

Can't wait for the report, so excited to hear about any newly re opened attractions.
