Hi all,

Not wanting to whinge but I was right in the middle of the queue when BTM broke down around 2:45pm yesterday. It was still closed as I left the park at 5:30pm. I do not know if it reopened.

Last week my cousin was there and she said it broke down on their first day and was shut all day.

I thought the big overhaul would have been a chance to iron out some of the technical issues BTM seems to have been blighted with for some time. Seems it still breaks down quite a bit.

Anyone any thoughts or information on this???

Hopefully just teething problems. Things are always more likely to have fault in the first months of operation

It was on and off last weekend as well. When it was running the splash down effect and smoke in the final lift hill weren't working. A shame seeing as it was in rehab so long to fix it.

It was closed a few times over New Year too. The brakes had frozen due to the -7° temperatures, freezing fog and thick frost! Not really a tech issue and can't be helped.

It was cold yesterday but not freezing. I got two rides on Thursday but the splash effect was switched off.

We were there from Jan. 11-14, it was so cold everything was frosted over in the mornings. So BTM was often still closed at park opening and started up as soon as they warmed up the tracks. Again when it snowed they'd close it down and reopen shortly after. So as Slimy yet satisfying said it's not due to technical problems per say, more a safety precaution. Don't be disappointed if you see it closed, just check back later.
