Wait - I just noticed... the Explorer's hotel will remain free? That's interesting if true - the Breakfast at the Explorer's is FAR superior to the one in Santa Fe / Cheyenne - that might swing it for my family, and we'll always stay there from now on...

I just won't eat at their hotel breakfasts, I refuse to pay £12 for a few croissants and a rubbish cup of tea.

I agree. At least at Santa Fe and Cheyenne, the breakfast is so horrific that I kind of think they should've paid us to eat it.

That's not a Disney hotel, so they'll likely stick to the policy that's common in most of the EU, and that means that breakfast is generally included.

Thanks, but no, the price for all the other partner hotels is listed at charging for breakfast, as quoted earlier. The Explorers' is the only partner hotel with free breakfasts:

We booked a trip for June at the English website of Disneyland paris today and our breakfast is still included.
Maybe they decline the prices for the hotels (without breakfast), so we can choose if we want to eat there or not.
I mean, I would rather pay for breakfast in the park than at our hotel

Thanks guys but this new info is only relevant for bookings made after the 12th of October. IE if you still want free breakfasts, you've got to book in the next week or so!

As an interested party going after these charges are supposedly being introduced I've been re-reading this thread and realised none of the sources quoted are actually Disney sources. Has anyone actually seen this announced yet on any Disney site? Are we just being wound up by rumours again?

Yes, the big announcement next week is going to be how much they are charging for cornflakes.

Just out of interest, as the suggested 12th Oct date was yesterday, has anyone tried to do a booking today to see if it says anything about breakfast not being included now....?

You can book up until March2017 as of today, so no one knows for sure what will happen, but this could be an indication that the breakfast rumours are true.

Magic Breaks are offering bookings beyond March 2017.  These are "self catering", and in add ons you are offered the choice of 3 meal plans - Breakfast, Half Board and Full Board.

Character breakfast from March is quoted as at Plaza Gardens, at a price of £108 for 2 adults and 2 children.  Character lunch at Inventions.
No character dinner.

Well I guesss that confirms it then this does definitely push the price up for those trying to do Disney on a "budget"... for many of us, staying at the Cheyenne or Santa Fe with only breakfast was the only affordable way to go most of the time
