I recently became aware of something called Disneybounding - dressing vaguely as a character around the parks.

Does anyone else do this?

I just bought a pair of mermaid leggings and plan to pair them with a purple top of some description :D

This is more popular in the American parks, more specifically Disneyland California. Most people in Disneyland Paris barely wear any Disney clothing or merchandise, lol.

Snow White seems to be the most popular, as its so easy to do, yellow skirt, blue tshirt, red bandanna

I am thinking about doing this in June when I go to Disneyland California, probably Arial or Tinkerbell

We saw loads of kids in Disney Princess outfits but didnt see one adult dressed up or even trying to look similiar to the characters probably because it was sooo cold when we went! lol

just got my son a plain orange and done bRight blue pants.  making him a yellow waistcoat myself and bought him a hat with goofy ears off eBay. we're good to go!  I make myself a dress our shirt using disney fabric and get dso maNy comments! last year I made my teenage daughter a satin knee length rockabilly skirt and a floor length organza overlay very pprincessy and she also bought a red polka dot rockabilly dress which Minnie was very impressed with.  it was such fun interacting with characters

I had an Anna disneybounding outfit, nothing very special and not that obvious (though husband worked it out).  brown boots, bright blue jeans, burgundy long cardigan, black jumper with turquoise top.  plus hair in braids :-)

I'm definitely adding some more outfits before my next visit!

Have fun wearing your Disney themed outfits and t shirts but be aware that if you are an adult you are not permitted to dress in character costumes. They are very strict on this and will ask you to return to your hotel to change. Only on Halloween night are adults allowed to character dress. It is fine for kids all year round

I really love disney bounding but I only really do it in the parks. Last year I did a Minnie bound (red and white polka dot shirt with a black skirt and ears) and I got great interaction from characters and a lot of cast members commented on it! At the moment me and my sister are planning ours from our next trip in may!

I always wear Disney merch such as my Disney vans... The beginning of the month we went and it was freezing, there was a young lady there who was disneybounding as Alice... She was wearing a blue tulle dress/skirt, clear/plain tights and black pumps... Even to look at her I felt cold. It was something like 2C and snowing  :o Don't get me wrong, I would probably do it...in the summer, but come on, there's a limit!! I was freezing and I had thermals on and a thick winter coat! People were looking at her like she was mad! I wonder if she was British... We Brits seem to have an amazing ability to not wear many clothes when most of our fellow (smarter) Europeans are very well wrapped up! ;D (I'm British by the way so don't hate!)  :-X

which is the point of Disney Bounding, its character THEMED dressing, not dressing in costume. For example, Disney bounding as Snow White would mean a girl wearing yellow shorts, a blue t-shirt and a red hair-band, not actually wearing a Snow White princess dress.

Its very popular in the American parks
