Quote from: "Nao"I guess "work as a performer in Disneyland" will have to stay un-ticked on my bucket-list for some time now, although it will remain a dream of mine.
I met a 60/65 year old lady who said it had been her dream to work at Disneyland since it opened in California in 1955, almost 60 years later there she was working for 2 weeks at Disneyland Paris alongside the other cast members... there's always some time - if you're meant to do it, it'll happen.

Thank you for the motivational words. I really do want to work there one day, in fact I almost feel like I might go to the London auditions just to see if there is any way I can change their mind although I doubt it haha. But there is a super high chance I won't get into my school of choice next year anyway so then there will be another chance for me to work in Disney as well (if they let me that is, of course).

My friend worked at DLRP last summer (selling popcorns in Adventureland, but was friends with alot of peope from entertainment), and when I asked her what kind of people works in entertainment, she said they were allmost all graduates from dance/musical theatre colleges in london, due to how hard it is getting a job in a show in London. That may be why they turned you down :)? I dont know what kind of schools you are trying to get in at, but if its Musical theatre/Acting/dance colleges you could allways go work there after graduating if nothing better comes up :)? I will be studying dance at Urdang Academy in London from september, and thats def something I have in the back of my mind :)

Hey, have you auditioned for DLP before? I think if it is your dream to work at Disney, then you should do everything you can to get that and keep auditioning!! Eventually, there will be a job that will come up and be perfectly suited to you and you can be hired! :):) In the mean time, it will be great experience!
Follow your dreams!! x

Odd I thought I had already posted but here I go again.
@Tiffanyfinsy congrats again alsjdgljks I want to go and see you work omg ;w;

@Disneydancer92 Oh wow I didn't know that (about the graduates)! I've heard from so many people that didn't go to drama/dance school who got in anyway so I figured everyone kind of had a chance (although of course the chance is smaller if you aren't a professional). That's right, I'm looking into performance-related schools. Not dancing ones though, I'm not a dancer haha.

@Bee_26 Yes I have, I got cut after the dance round unfortunately. I kind of screwed it up haha, I was hoping my smile and performance would save me but no such joy haha. I sent my CV for a chance to re-audition, in Paris this time, but they turned me down ): so I suppose there are really no jobs left for people with my kind of profile/CV. They seem to be looking for people who can work for 6 months or longer or something. But I can't since I have things to attend (they are important) starting January or so and they don't seem to be flexible when it comes to days off so I figured it would be inconvenient if I would work longer than the end of November.

Nao: ooh I see! Well maybe you can audition after your other commitments? I hope it all works out for you!! :) :)
I am auditioning in July but am so scared about the animation section rather than the dance!! How did you find the audition?

Hi,
I sent 3 emails asking when I would hear something and finally got this reply:

So basically if you haven't had a contract for the summer, you won't get one and you should start looking for something else to do. If you still haven't heard about summer, but can do Halloween or Christmas, then let them know, I'm sure there's lots of people like me who can only do the summer, so you've probably got a good chance.

@Bee_26 aww thanks. Good luck with your audition then! I thought the animation round was okay, but that's because I have more experience in animation than dance so haha. I thought the dance round was a bit harder than expected because I had heard mixed stories about it, some said it was really easy some said it was really hard. I found it quite hard mostly because I had NO IDEA what the woman teaching us was doing most of the time she moved fast and there were A LOT of people so I couldn't see it that well. And she explained the dance faster than I could manage to pick it up since, again, I'm not a dancer. But I think the dance round would be a little bit easier if there are less people around so you can see what the steps are more clearly ^^. Also I would really recommend being sociable with other auditionees, there are some REALLY lovely people who audition for Disney, I met some great people and keep contact with them too haha. Don't let the negative people get you down either. When I went there were quite a few grumpy/arrogant people as well, but most got cut and they were being extremely negative.. but just try to socialise with the people who are looking like they enjoy being there :) it also helps with the nerves.

To which email address did you send that? And is that for characters or for shops?
