just wondering if the 40% off deal is a yearly thing.Does anyone remember deals like this in the past or is this just a one off

Yes, Disney has done 40% deals in the past and 50% Flash Sales. They've done other deals like 3 nights for the price of 2 for example. But we never know when it will happen.

I booked 4 nights for the price of 2 with an early booking deal. I think they usually do this frequently but you have to keep checking and be aware of prices and offers



First time ever: August 2000, one day visit!
August 2010, NewPort Bay, 5 days
October 2012, Sequoia Lodge, 5 days
April 2014, Sequoia Lodge, 6 days - Big 7th Bday Surprise for DD#1 :)
September 2015, Newport Bay 6 days - Another surprise!!!

The latest e-mail advertising the 40% off also mentions free lunch or dinner each night, but when you click through to the website it doesn't mention it anywhere ?
