looks like this will be a one disc bluray here in the UK although this has not been confirmed but images do suggest this. Its just a shame the US versions dont have the classic number on the side as the 3 disc version for them is beautiful

Release date is now 30th January and cover art has now changed

Why such an early release. I wasn't expecting it until near March. Disney aren't ramping it up to release 3 Classics every year, are they?

well  i couldnt say for sure but Tarzan is rumoured for March/April time, the rescuers is rumoured for August time, Cinerella in the fall is confirmed by leaflets in LATT so its definately a possibility!

Cinderella? Again? It was just released back in April for the Royal Wedding. Also, Tarzan was in HMV the other night? What silly releases.

How is the Lady and the Tramp blu-ray? Worth a purchase? I must admit I've got Disney home video release fatigue with the films they're choosing to re-release and the sometimes poor added extras. I might wait until this one arrives as a reward on Disney Movie Rewards.

If these are blu-ray too: yes please! I'm dying for something other than the core classics in HD. Hunchback, Hercules, even Brother Bear or Treasure Planet would all look stunning. These days, it's looking more likely they'll never make it back to disc and we'll be downloading or streaming them in 1080p instead. But oh, it's not the same as having them there on your shelf...

I've heard a lot of the same comments on another forum i go on which always has a lot of disney info. I know a few of the disney films may have problems as their initial transfer to DVD was apparently not the best but with technology improving day by day if anyone has a chance of transfering to bluray it has to be disney!

I watched LATT the other night on bluray and i have to say i was so happy to see it! I've not watched it in ages well years and even though i didnt watch this film as a young child it made me feel just like a child. I'd definately recommend it but i do have a small obsession with disney blurays with slip covers!
