Besides the fact that these are toons, and the show is supposed to show how stunts are done (even Herbie did that), this one seems pointless with the exception of trying to advertise Cars 2. I tried to keep an open mind, but this was even worse than I feared.

By the way, the wall of fire wasn't working.  They lit the stuntman up with a lighter...

It doesn't make any sense to have these charcters in the stuntshow. It's really just for promoting the new Cars movie. I don't like Herbie in the show, and I don't like Lightning McQueen in the show. Honestly I think it is disrespectful against the stunt drivers to add the toons, because it is a hard job and people should learn about the work that goes into such scenes and now the guests will think that Lightning is the star of the show.

IF it had been entertaining I would have forgiven it. As much as my kids enjoy the show their attention does wander during the long pauses between 'takes'.

But the whole hide and seek thing was pants and needs a lot more work. Maybe if McQueen actually did a stunt - it is a stunt show after all. Even a jump, flash the lightening bolt, Kerr-chow over the speakers.....anything. Cause at the minute he might as well come out and say 'Hey kids, dont forget to pester your parents until they take you to my new movie'

yup, very uninspired. A bit more fun/surprise like Herbie did and I would welcome it, but this drags then suggets some kind of pace only to disappoint.

Had another look at the clip to make sure I could believe my eyes! The soundtrack describes lightning mac queen as a race car, well on this pedestrian performance its a good job they let us know! The" chase" invloving an enemy spy with a secret weapon, secret weapon? its one of the shows black cars with a rocket shaped ski box on its roof!! This really is unworthy of Disney, they have some of the best stunt drivers around and they get to drive a car at about 10/20 mph, surely they could have dreamed up a scenario that gave us a couple of high speed chases and some handbrake turns? It's a stunt show, Disney, lets have some excitement!!

According to Screamscape.com and Disneyworld.com Lightning McQueen will be added in DHS as well.

Walt Disney World has confirmed that in June 2011 Herbie: The Love Bug will be retired from use in the Lights, Motor, Action stunt show and replaced by a guest appearance from Lightning McQueen, sporting his all new look from Cars 2.  I was guessing that this was bound to happen very soon anyway after McQueen was added to the same show at Walt Disney Studios Paris earlier this year

well, I thought it was boring when we saw it the other week, but my kids, who some would say this was aimed at and like Cars.......they liked it.......but they missed Herbie. Lol However, the crowd seemed to go mad for it. So maybe my family are just out of alignment  with popular opinion.

Just out of interest, it is sponsored by Ford now isn't it?

If so, will they ever be changing the bodies of the cars considering the villain cars are still in the Opel Corsa shape..

Currently the attraction is neither sponsored by Ford nor by Opel. Ford ended the sponsorship two years ago and has only sponsored Autopia, but never the stunt show.

I think that's back to normal, now. Wasn't it because of a crash?
